Bad English

This is interesting album, dark, gothic, doom, horror and vampiric elements into this. 100% autumn album, I like it.

Musically this is some excellent gothic metal. Too bad that the vocals completely ruins it, making it almost unlistenable.

In 1996 I discovered Cultus Sanguine in a store in Barcelona that the dust removed. Those times without streaming or downloads were better because any new discovery in music was worth much more than now. We are flooded with content, and personally I find it hard to like or like anything. Most bands are just replicating over and over again what others are doing.

On the other hand Cultus Sanguine are unique in their approach. Since the Cultus Sanguine EP, which was what I discovered at the time, I was attentive to this band. The owner of that store (called Hysteria) would call me on the phone (haha at my parents' house, of course, there were no cell phones) and keep me informed of some new releases, although there were few calls because my weekly visit to the shopping area in Barcelona kept me well stocked.

And when Shadows Blood came out, I didn't know it, and it took me by surprise or wanted to do it intentionally, because inside that small store, it filled the whole place.
Many years have passed, I find myself 45 years old, and this new Cultus Sanguine album is superb.

It keeps that dark air and style of the time. It is a continuation of his style, welcome!
I consider this to be one of the biggest surprises in decades. An extinct band, risen from the ashes as the title of the album indicates.

I have read here above that Joe's vocals spoil the album, not at all! Without the keyboards and those vocals they wouldn't be Cultus Sanguine. A wide register of voices, with cries in their words and constant discomfort. It's overwhelming.
Once you enter the darkness of Cultus Sanguine, you'll find it hard to get out. Because there are no bands that replicate their style, something that makes them shine.

Welcome Cultus Sanguine, and long may it be for a long time.
