The musicianship, vocals and production are rather good and the first song is really impressive The songwriting declines a little bit afterwards, but is pretty good throughout. I just found this album lately so I guess there's still some interesting ones left to be found.

Yes, indeed. The opener kills and the following 2-3 tracks are also great. Thereafter, songwriting declines, agreed. Though they are somewhat catching up again with the closing track I would say. Good album overall, vocals dragging down slightly, upper 7 here.
