I suspect that "23 Worthless Grams" is a reference to Duncan MacDougall's experiments to determine the weight of the human soul. The (scientifically unsubstantiated) result was three-quarters of an ounce (21.3 grams), but since MacDougall's methods were more than questionable, the band may be forgiven for the inaccuracy.
