This is some of the most interesting black metal I have listened to this year.

An engulfing and mesmerizing album that is alternately pummeling and meditative with some doomy passages. Abrasive in places, yet also melodic and stately.
Great composition and development to the lengthier songs.

I could swear the band were from Poland if I didn't know they're Norwegian

Fantastic album much better than I expected. Last track could become one of the best tracks in black metal this year for me.
