"The Darkness" is the first album of Dawn Of Solace one of the side projects of Tuomas Saukkonen (Before The Dawn). Between Doom Metal and Gothic, this album is a lovely piece of melancholic music and I really think that all the Metalheads who like to listen to bands like Swallow The Sun should have a look on it because they shouldn't be disappointed.

One of the best albums I have EVER heard. Critics may call this derivative and sometimes boring...but I beg to disagree. The atmospheres flow perfectly, some of the tracks are hidden gems and the man masters both harsh vocals and regular vocals.

As the post above correctly stated, this is a REAL masterpiece that flows naturally from the beginning to the end and create an ultimate atmosphere on the border between gothic and doom metal...
