Holy Terror are a second-wave thrash band that put out a couple albums in the 80's, then disappeared. Terror And Submission was recently re-issued (again) along with Mind Wars, making it obtainable for those of us who still buy disks.

What they lacked in finesse they made up for in droves with boundless, raw kinetic energy, enthusiasm, and the fantastic vocals of Keith Deen.

"T&S" is recommended for fans of raw 80's thrash metal.

What a tragically underrated band.

Good thrash, but what really sets it apart is the fact that it was "made in French." so says the back of the album.

Fine album, that unfortunately gets overshadowed by the following album "Mindwars". Some of these songs, namely "Mortal Fear", "Distant Calling" and "Tomorrow's End" do kick ass.

Metal Rasputin

One of the most underrated thrash bands and albums ever. I remember when I got into thrash in the first place and Holy Terror was one of my favourite bands even as a pre-teen kid. This has everything I love about the genre, plus a little thin-sounding production and singer you can't understand at all because he's doing his thing so darn fast. Truly overlooked gem.

Good stuff, I like it, speedy.
At times a bit too punk-rockish for me (e.g. Blood of the Saints). Lacks clear stand-out tracks (maybe Mortal Fear and the closer).
Overall, I prefer the successor.
Lower 8 here.
But generally, yes, the band's essential Thrash, and overlooked.

Re-listening after 6 years. This is killer material and sure, it's overlooked, it's not found, it's not headbanged to, it's a thing for a minority. And Rambo is absolutely right about Keith Deen's vocals; they're damn fast like Sean Killian on Eternal Nightmare, or in modern days eminem or Hi-Rez. I miss old times when everything wasn't so overproduced, everything wasn't so much about how artist's look or how much they would sell, old metal was a great movement with lots of breaking to a new territory.

I am upping the rating after all these years, everything is relative based on what you have heard and what you compare to, after all. I have heard plenty of good, plenty of dogshiet and this album sticks out as better. I still enjoy Blood Of The Saints, Mortal Fear, Distant Calling and Tomorrow's End most.

Rate it high ... or BE A POSER
