A pity that this is the last album from such a great band. It does show just how instrumentally talented each member was, and the brilliance of 'Join the legion' and epic 'Chaos rising' makes for a unique listen throughout.

Infernal Eternal

Too bad they disbanded after this one. Not as good as their 2 previous masterpieces, but just a step behind it.

On one hand it's a cool album with different kinds of songs, but on the other hand some of the songs aren't exactly very good. Not as good as what the band had been doing before this album, that is. Which I would name from this album as some of the best CU songs are "Heaven Help Us", "Chaos Rising", "Fallen Idols" and "Paradise Lost". Slightly disappointed though.

I have to agree, just listened this, some are strong, some, weak, but its same old story whit 80's metal bands in the 90's and what so ever metal

I'd probably rate Paradise Lost higher than One Foot in Hell, even if some of the songs exhibit a more straight up heavy metal feel rather than the "doomier" sound of the previous two records. I think I even heard a couple of classic Maiden-esque moments in there, though this isn't what I'd consider a bad thing because it feels like it's inspired by rather than copied. It's unfortunate to think that for nearly 3 decades this would be their last album.
