Let's be honest, after all this fuc#$&% Stratovarius drama I was more than afraid for the most famous Finnish band ever. Really it was hard for me to believe in a new album and I was quite sure that the band was just… dead. My fault I'm sorry I was wrong, Stratovarius is back with their new album, the eponym "Stratovarius" and actually the result is not so bad…

I think the only bad song is Maniac Dance.. is very crap and non-Stratovarius. But this album have very good songs as Fight and Just Carry On.

Ahh, this album is very different to the rest of the Strato discography. It has its moments. I don't mind Maniac Dance.. most of the songs themselves are listenable except for 'Back To Madness', can't stand the vocals on the chorus. The trouble is that as an entire album, they attempted a completely different style and for the most part, the reception WAS NOT good. - most fans believe this to be their worst release. Even though there are some highlights such as 'Land of Ice and Snow', 'United' and the first three songs. I don't recommend this as the first album for a new fan. This album is definitely in the large fan-only territory.
