Under the file "Metal Eccentricities" Finntroll figures as a top contender, these Finns have managed the way to create playful yet aggressive music, using as a base a Finnish polka rhythm called Hummpa, the wide array of instruments these trolls use is quite amazing, to name a few I would have to say accordion, mouth harp, flutes, clarinets, herty gerties even a honky-tonk piano.

This is folk metal.....most "folk metal" bands are some other form of metal, be it heavy, power, black, etc, plus folky melodies of folk instruments....but i think a metal genre is in the riffs...and the humpa riffs make it folk metal

First Folk Metal album I ever bought. It's still my favourite of theirs, I love Wilska's vocals. it's a shame he only did one full length album with them.

Nice album. I really like Människopesten and Det Iskalla Trollblodet and Trollhammaren is surely a great hit song. But for me most of the songs are still weaker than on the early albums.
