Even though it slightly overstays its welcome and is not nearly as original as the blogosphere would like to have you believe, Deathconsciousness by Have A Nice Life is easily the most important album of the year so far and should be heard by everyone. After reportedly five years in the making, this lo-fi masterpiece conjures a mood so harrowing and overbearingly sombre that it makes funeral doom records sound like Barney's theme song.

Brilliant. Bewitching. Bright. Beautiful. Breathtaking. Bemusing... All that and so much more. Nothing short of a wonderful experience! In any case, a highly applauded album you should hear before you die.

Not a single comment on this absolute masterpiece? For shame.

There are comments in the review, though not many seem to get it. It's not perfect, but there's nothing quite like it. (Even the review is desperate to find comparisons to downplay its uniqueness, but they're really quite far-fetched.)

Just yesterday, I was inspired to make a Spotify playlist that would gather stuff with a certain mood and sonic range, songs that otherwise fall into different lists because I do them by genre. Essentially, I wanted to listen to The Angelic Process, Menace Ruine, and the Microphones when I listened to Have a Nice Life, so it grew from there.

I called it Fuzzconsciousness.

I get a little bit of a Jesu vibe sometimes form the music but it's very unique and I love it a lot. There are so many textures and so much atmosphere.

That reminds me, I should listen to Menace Ruine!

How is this black metal? I'm don't care about it being on the site, but it is most certainly not a black metal album.

Despite the punk theme having to be prevalent somewhere and be on the cringe names at the three-quarter mark, it's the quality of those actual songs themselves that hinder the main quality being its gravitational pull of quasi-drone, urban DSBM/ gothic vibing weight.

You can tell how they pretty much removed that crap for refining the flow on The Unnatural World.

Could you explain it to me, then? :/ I never understood it even with lyrics in hand. What is so great about a boardgame?

It’s not that great, really. Typical DnD-style nerd stuff. The video games are better.

Also fuck Games Workshop and their petty dislike for fan-made animations.

I wasn't even aware it was referencing anything.

I thought it was just funny because it's stupid. Reminds me of the random style Jeff memes. Maybe my sense of humor is broken.
