This is the come back of Agathodaimon, three years after "Chapter III", with their 4th new release "Serpent's Embrace" through the German Label Nuclear Blast. This combo from Germany did a real evolution in its music through the years, and this new album confirms this feeling again. For sure "Serpent's Embrace" will provoke a real controversy between all the fans of the band. The fact is that this release keeps evidently the roots of their music, but also goes in some other new directions like Gothic music or pure Power/Death metal. And of course when there are changes, some fans are disappointed, but on the other hand some new ones can be touched?

I think this was quite a letdown in comparison to Chapter III.
The ballad "Solitude" is the only track still stucking in my mind.
