Staff pick by
Baz Anderson

16.01.2011 Marking seven years since the incredibly unfortunate death of Valfar. This album is perhaps his best work, with the chilling and unsettlingly real "Journey To The End" to mark the end.

Journey To The End is the best epitaph ever

I embraced my vision, as it was common for me,
A fate, a destiny, an inevitable early death
Finally I'm dead,
And the vision is revealed for everyone else.

This album is epic, just perfect!
8.9 is a bit low

I'm going there!!!! Is there something wrong with that, Troy? If there is, I'll stop doing it.

Technically, no. You're posting something relevant to the topic at hand - but it's a little spammy for sure, in that three separate sections of the site don't need to know the exact same thing.

Although you are adhering to the 101 Rules of Being a Metal Stormer.

Rating: 8 Great album, but the electronic parts in the last song ruined this album for me.

Just got it as a Christmas present (yeah a bit late, but I was in Finland the past 8 days) ... it's sooo unbelievably good

Rating: 10 Loving this album! First time i've heard of this band, they kinda sound like a folkier version of the early-era Mayhem. Might check out their other albums!

Rating: 9 Somehow this one doesn't click with me like Arntor and Likferd do. Strange, because many apparently consider this album to be their best one. Still great stuff. Not many bands are as consistent in terms of quality as Windir, that's for sure.

Rating: 9 Ignore my last comment. Spun this around 5 times now and it's totally awesome. This might very well be the most consistent band ever, for me. All of their material, especially their last 3 albums, are excellent.

8.9 is too much overrated !
The disco beats in the last few tracks really made this album S.

I agree. It shouldn't have worked but it did.

Can't even see him cause I ignored him, so fuck 'im.

I don't like this album anyway, so I'd probably end up agreeing with him, too.

Can't help it, it's too tempting sometimes. But it's not like I quoted him, so he might not even read what I wrote...
