In most stories, there is a buildup of tension and excitement within the plot before the climax. With this climax, the pinnacle of emotional stimulation is achieved and then makes way for the resting conclusion of the story. If Disturbed's career was a story, it would proceed as follows: they open their career up with the release of The Sickness, which pounded its way through the masses with unbridled aggression. Believe was a change in style, a change in the plot of their career story, which added more pure emotion to the tracks. Ten Thousand Fists brought melody and guitar solos to the mix. All those albums lead to this one, and while there was Asylum and The Lost Children afterward, this album was the climax of their career story.

Sounds a lot like Ten-Thousand Fists with a blend of some Believe. They should stick to this road.
I think its their best yet. Definitely their heaviest & melodicness yet

So when were all the hard rock tags on all of Disturbs albums replaced with nu metal? Except for maybe "Criminal", I wouldn't call this nu metal, but then again, except for maybe "Perfect Insanity" I wouldn't call this hard rock. I'd personally call it heavy metal/alternative metal, but whatever.

In my humble opinion, this is their best and most balanced record by far.
I think Criminal is easily their best song ever, melodic, powerful with killer riffs and choruses.
As for the rest of the album:
- Indestructible (what a great opener. uplifting and powerful),
- Inside the Fire (the lyrics and the story behind them shook me to my core),
- The Night (pure magic),
- Perfect Insanity (makes me wanna jump),
- Haunted (haunting),
- The Curse (Disturbed at their best),
- Divide (chorus makes me want to break shit).
It saddens me that this album is this underappreciated...

The first 4 tracks, Haunted and The Curse are good, the rest of the songs are boring
