To tell the truth, David Lee Roth era is much better than sammy-era... Van Halen, Van Halen II, 1984, Women and Children First.

Why does every thread about a Van Halen album with Sammy Hagar have to go this way is something I'll never understand...

Because Sammy fucked up Van Halen
Hell the guy''s ego was even bigger than those of the other three combined. Totally pathetic he wanted to be the lead guitar player and have Eddie play the synths.

Yes, I get it. But every conversation leads to the same thing, the hate for Hagar and it's annoying. Enough is enough already.
Like DLR did not fuck up the band? The whole "I wanna be in the band" then I don't wanna be", the frustrated fans that only want DLR as their singer (to be honest he's not even that good, not that I am defending the other one); well, they got what they deserve (the fans that is): apparently the new albums sells well etc.
To me, DLR can't sing to save his own life, his lyrics are horrid (or whoever is making them), his performance on the new album ruined it, at least for me.

But Hagar ruined the band musically, which imo is a far greater sin

I rate it hiher than Diver Down and Women And Children First currently. And pisses over an album featuring Hagar and his slaughtering of the Van Halen music. So no ruining done there by him at all.

I'm surprised you like it, well, I don't. Maybe I'll give it a second chance... The new VH gave me the same frustration that the last Queenryche gave me.

The new Queesnryche is infinitely inferior to the new Van Halen. Even on the level of pop music it is shite.

you are right, but I was just saying how I felt when i listened to the album. I'm not comparing the albums, I just had the same feeling of dissatisfaction and frustration, that's all.

SO you mean to say you actually expected anything good from Queensryche this time around? When in fact they have crap for quite some time now?

Judgement Day - Pleasure Dome. Colorful guitarwork, frensic drumming and the bass 6db above everything else. What a bliss.

Once again criminally underrated and overlooked VH album. Here Eddie used Soldano's legendary SL-100 amp, hence the awesome guitar tone, I just wish the overall production quality was just as great. RIP EVH.
