Spain's largest Metal act, Dark Moor, returns with their sixth full-length album, their second after the big departure, when half the band left and created a new band, Dreamaker, and among them one of Dark Moor's largest hallmarks, the female vocalist Elisa C. Martin.
But when Dark Moor returned with the new and young male vocalist Alfred Romero and released the self-titled album "Dark Moor", all my doubts vanished; I knew that Dark Moor would live on even without Elisa behind the microphone.

Fans dislike this album way too much. Honestly, its not a bad album at all. The second debut for the male singer, the first to have growling back vocals, the first without a background choir, & one of their heaviest. This album is what got me as a fan. It does get boring after a while, but it has couple of their finest songs: "Before the Duel","Through the Gates of the Silver Key / The Silver Key", & "The Sea" (bonus song).

Just to make you a little correction, my friend, in the bonus track of the Shadowland album called "The Call" there are some growling vocals, also in the track "The Dark Moor" in the homonymous band album there are some growling parts.

Not a bad album, but the one that I like less from the band.

Yes you are right on the song "Dark Moor" but its just one part. I couldnt get into Shadowland. It was on of their catchier albums but the production was so poor...But would it be cool if they re-recorded the whole first album, bonus songs and all!?
