Power Metal. Some would say it's not a very diverse genre, but albums like this prove that it is. This isn't Helloween, but it's 100% power... well with maybe a little thrash thrown in LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE. Master Control is Liege Lord's 3rd and final release and it's head and shoulders above the earlier two. What sets it apart? Plain ol' song writing... and a much better vocalist who sounds like Dio, to me. These songs really stick in your head.

Amazing US power, an another proof that power can be done without sounding like band's balls have been removed. Songs are definitely great, though there's maybe 2 or 3 weaker tracks. So not the best album ever, but can be regarded as a classic in USPM.

Metal Rasputin

One of the best US power metal albums ever made. For me, it's up there with absolute speed/power classics like Thundersteel and Painkiller.

I'm just baffled by why there wasn't any follow up to this album, not even an ep. The band is still active...

Picked this up in the pre-internet days based on the album cover and a general trust that Metal Blade put out good records. My mind was blown from that first spin. Still a favorite after more than 30 years of listening.

Amazing songwriting, killer riffs, catchy solos, and outstanding vocals. Solid production ties the whole thing together. Definitely one of the finest power metal albums ever made.

Great U.S. power metal album, very catchy, speedy and creative, with fantastic solo's and riffing, and with some real classic vocals.
