Different from the debut, but on par with it. The proggy playing style and the clean vocals remind me SOMEHOW of newer Enslaved.

Another excellent Borknagar album, though in comparison with its predecessor, the band's self-titled debut, I find it slightly weaker overall. The clean vocals sometimes distract me in a bad way from the instrumentation, but it's nothing serious, especially when the musicianship here is top notch. 'The eye of Oden' and 'A tale of pagan tongue' are my personal favourite from this album.
