While the quality of the album is up for speculation, personally there is little doubt that this is one bad ass title.

I can't forget about Stryper ever since they threw a bibles in the crowd and one hit me on the head at Dynamo Open Air 1987

Hmm...should be interesting. Deicide have blown hot and cold througout their career. lol Though the last Deicide album I truly loved was "Scars Of The Crucifix''.

SotC wasn't that great, but enjoyable. Last two albums were generic.

I haven't enjoyed Glen Benton's vocals since Legion, and now that the Hoffman brothers are gone (and forming Amon, which I am more excited to listen to), I am pretty certain that this album will be garbage.

Awesome title AWESOME cover. I mean come on, could anyone depict what it would be like if god went to hell better than that? Too bad the albums gonna suck, Benton cant even growl anymore. I wish they would just go back to their "Legion" style. That type of technical occult death metal still has a lot of potential for growth.

Anyone know the story with the tracklist? RYM and Metal-Archives are showing two different lists. The one we have here compared to:
1. To Hell with God 04:20
2. Save Your 03:32
3. Witness of Death 03:05
4. Conviction 03:15
5. Empowered by Blasphemy 03:16
6. Angels in Hell 03:12
7. Hang in Agony Until You're Dead 03:59
8. Servant of the Enemy 03:17
9. Into the Darkness You Go 03:32
10. How Can You Call Yourself a God 04:15
Which is the same as my downloaded copy.

Speaking of Deicide, the term "blasphemer"is probably positive: D Well, in total, "The Stench Of Redemption" was also very good. But this album I like the slightly more.

This album wasn't really all that good, but still a step up from the terrible To Death do us part album. It sounds a little different from their more recent albums...which I guess isn't really a bad thing, but they still need to retire.

This album is unremarkably awesome, which is probly 10x better than their last album.
The songs are catchy.
Dont judge an album by its cover...

I'm not blown away, but it has its moments. Better than the last album for sure, but nothing close to the greatness of the first two and Stench of Redemption. Angels in Hell is a great song.

Deicide's latest album begins predictably enough with some half-arsed riffs and equally as boring traditional death metal vocals, but that is only the first few tracks. From 'Conviction' it gets a little more interesting, what with the right balance of melody being incorporated into deicide's already blasphemous formula. Many people will cast this off as an album that doesn't really do anything for the genre itself, but i say that it's further evidence that deicide aren't showing any signs of letting up yet. The title track and 'How can you call yourself a god' are very good indeed.
