Dead Congregation comes from Greece and Graves Of The Archangels is their debut album. Their members are not new in death metal, as most of them were active for years in the Greek death metal scene, so they are experienced enough to develop their own sound and give their music the identity they want. "Creating Darkness and Blasphemy is the only goal," they say and it's actually impossible not to get scared with this album!

Man, this is more than just death metal. This is like... decay metal.

Reminds me of a mix between Morbid Angel and Immolation. Really enjoyable stuff

I would describe this Greek death metal band as sounding as if they were born in New York and had contributions from Immolation and Incantation. In addition to the Incantation-like wall of sound and Immolation-esque drumming and tempo changes, you can also detect elements reminiscent of Orthodox church music, with touches of organ and choir. This album is undeniably ingenious, and if I were to rate it, I'd consider giving it a 9 or even a 10. Yes, it's that exceptional if you can appreciate dense, dark death metal
