It has 26 votes at an average of 9.1. I wouldn't call that underappreciated or getting no love.

There is no metal here. I frankly dont know what it is but I find the neoclassical heavy metal and progressive metal tags somewhat irritating.

Haven't ever listened to this myself but from what I can gather based on a few minutes of internet research, this seems pretty firmly entrenched in the prog metal stratosphere. What do you think it should be labeled as?

Well, I guess this album appears in the prog metal stratosphere because of his debut album, which is certainly some sort of neoclassical hm and prog metal.
But with the album at hand, I dont know... I gave it a first spin yesterday, a second one today, and I really wasnt thinking of any type of metal at all.
Hard to say what it is exactly. Well, some sort of instrumental music. I was thinking of world music because of a bit of a mixture of cultures. I was also thinking of some (neo-)classical music (maybe some baroque style?). But I am really everything other than a genre expert, so hands down.
If you prefer to leave it at neocl prog metal as it is, I am fine with that.
