A surprisingly good album, for me at least, the only Kiss members solo album of 1978 that I like.

I totally disagree with you. Okay, it's better than the ones by Gene and Peter, but nowhere near as good as Ace's. Were to rate the solo albums it would be:
Peter Criss 3
Gene Simmons 4
Paul Stanley 5
Ace Frehley 7.4

why even bother disagreeing? I was totally subjective after all. Tastes differ, one man's enjoyment can be another's disappointment. I never said Paul's album is better than the rest (Ace's, Gene's and Peter's), just that it was the only one that surprised me in a positive way (which the others did not do, not even Ace's album).
