When I heard Anubis Gate had amicably parted ways with singer Jacob Hansen, I was worried. I had greatly enjoyed The Detached and Andromeda Unchained and the one thing I have noticed to change a band's sound more than anything else is a change in singer (just look at the change in Nightwish when they switched from Tarja to Anette). Inversely, when a singer remains and the band is nearly entirely replaced (such as Evergrey) the sound remains similar.

This shall probably be the crowning achievement of the year and maybe a decade to come.
Okay, so that's a slight exaggeration, but it's gonna be pretty damn great.
EDIT: Yep, I've heard it 7 times now and it is the album of the year. Absolutely incredible

The first three tracks didn't really do much for me, but from 'World in a Dome' onward it sounds fantastic.

One of the best this year, indeed. I should thank you for mentioning them to me ...but I won't! >:[

Very good, but I don't understand some of the abrupt stops in songs, they make the production of the album just seem sloppy and amateurish.

Must check this out.
Yes. Go. Now.
@Intro
I love the starts and stops. And I think it's part of their identity. Pretty sure they've got it there in The Detached as well.
