Peter Steele... what a guy, eh? I must admit, I'm a tad envious of this fellow. Who wouldn't want to be tall as a lamp post, while singing in a cult Alternative/Gothic band and doing extraordinary amounts of hot chicks and cocaine at the same time? There are a few downsides, true. One might argue that posing naked for Playgirl, only to find out that the majority of its subscribers are actually gay men is a real downer, but you'd have to be a real homophobe to say that... ugh, right? Still, our prematurely deceased friend was either quite a miserable person, or he presented himself as such. And that's what Type O Negative is about: a way for a depressed, negative, cynical and possibly bi-polar person who doesn't exactly know if he fits in this world to express himself via music. And what interesting music it is.

This album does not stand as high as the two previous.

Still it is a nice good hour of a heavily synthetized gothic metal

It's awfully depressive in a big part of it's time... There are some good songs in it too, but the depressive parts got me feel ill, when I listened to it...

You say "depressive" like it's something bad. Come on, it's nearly doom metal, i mean, it MUST be depressive.

Probably the Type O album with the strongest doom vibe. I guess, it's one of the reasons I like it a lot. The other reason being that it contains some really great songs - White Slavery, Everyone I Love Is Dead, World Coming Down, Everything Dies, All Hallows Eve. And the great The Beatles cover too.

Its been that time of the year where I rediscover Type O's discography dead again and it has never felt more prominent in my lost, spiraling, trying to climb back up life then it has now. Among the most abundant replays of all their work I've ever had, this album (along with Dead Again and Slow, Deep And Hard however I always clicked immeidiately onto the latter) throughout the last two months has been the one I kept creeping back to, and starting to relate to it most (along with October Rust). The first half of this album is some of the strongest output they did on top of the interludes which apparently even Pete didn't want to listen to Sinus again after the first time because it was panic attack inducing or something like that. I seem to always turn them up and and "feel" the expressions as much as I can. Its one of the most emotional inducing doom albums I can think of.

I may not have the largest collection but I certainly have the absolute best

A memories to me another great peace, but same as 1th one band has epic songs, but only 3 stands out, seems one good, one bad they go like that.
Same time seems bands is more inspird from NY streets INDUSTRY not as typical doom metal bands, ... weird

I bought this album and the two previous at a thrift store for $2 total and I listened to all three in a row. This one is definitely the most structured which makes it the best of the trio for me. I even got a sick poster with it.

Debut is also more structured but don't expect anything like the three albums you listened.
