To all of you, who consider to buy it: You should know that Barad Dûr is a band that has obvious sympathies for faschism. However Dark Fortress have distanced themselves from the viewpoints of Barad Dûr several times.
If you can look past Barad Dûrs political views, go ahead, because it's some high quality Black Metal.

True?
I never heard this band before, but I like this split, I know DF and their music, I was interested to other band, and I enjoyed it a lot, nice music. To it doesnt matter if band play good music, I can listen it, I love Halgadom btw :p

Wow, don't even remember that I posted this. But, yeah, it's true. As far as I'm aware one of the Barad-Dur-Songs on this split is quite obviously right wing. I remember hearing a lot of controversy about it when Dark Fortress started to become more popular. I cannot remember for the life of mine where I read it though. I tend to not care about political viewpoints as much nowadays as I did back then.

I can't comment on Barad Dûr as I've never listened to them and no idea what they sound like.

I just came here to comment on the Dark Fortress tracks. These two from the split, plus the previously unreleased track "Emperor of the Majestic Nights" appear on disk 2 of the reissued "Tales From Eternal Dusk" LP and they're such a bonus. I don't think early MBM gets much better than those three tracks. They're right up there with Dissection, Sacramentum and Necrophobic in my humble opinion.
