Let's be honest, really honest. I discovered these Canadian melodic death metallers a couple of weeks ago. First, I was interested in them, and I decided to give them a listen. Their debut album was a kind of surprise; not quite sure why, but their songs have Middle Eastern roots.

The fact is, I wasn't really interested in the vocals at all; that's my opinion, but I was just listening to the melodies and I liked them. Actually, I was disappointed by the vocals, especially those brutal growls. Yeah, an admixture of brutal growls and clean vocals in a song isn't what makes you (or, of course, me) like a band. The major reason of why I still listen to them is their well-performed melodies. The important thing is the song itself and this is what I have always repeated.

Rating: 9 I was extremely impressed by this album. The vocals were monstrous, the riffs were heavy and memorable and the drums were played interestingly. Even the symphonic portions didn't feel forced, which I was shocked about given how aggressive everything else was.

Rating: 9 Great album. The mix of brutal growls, clean vocals and middle-eastern melodies gives it a very unique sound. Some nice and memorable solos. Very enjoyable!

Rating: 9 I also discovered this band about 2 months ago (when the new song was released). So out of curiosity I got this album, and I found it amazingly good. Been listening to this nearly every day since then.
