Well, on the podcast I was catching Mitch live interview in which he was saying this album is fucking different from what they are up to now and with the fact that Breakdowns are not that much included. On the Whole its a freaking good album!!

I hate deathcore with a burning passion but I would be a hypocrite not to know my "enemy". The execution of the songs themselves is what makes this album almost listenable, but the material (composition/songwriting, arrangement, creativity) is putting it nicely...garbage.
I picked up a copy of the new Fleshgod CD yesterday while on vacation in San Diego with a friend who is a fan of Suicide Silence, and he was raving about this album on the drive back to Phoenix. So I patiently struggled to make it through as he ranted about how "brutal" and "sick" this album was. Then I played "Agony" for him. Needless to say, it was a very quiet two hours or so after that.
Off topic; Agony slays, I'll type a mini-review over on that thread later when I have time. HIGHLY recommend it.

I know what you mean, all my friends with good tastes in music live too far away. Have to endure hearing about emo shit all the time

Unfortunately I live in Arizona, one of the places deathcore got big and popular first.

While I respect everyone's opinion because I realize that everyone has a different taste...I'm just curious...what exactly do you find about this album that deserves a 9?

First of all I love deathcore and as far as this album goes concerned, breakdowns were improved alot from their previous albums, bass is really unique and some of the compositions of the songs has made me tick 9 for that.

Why no one said anything about Frank Mullen from Suffocation doing a guest appearance in this album?

Because saying anything more about this album aside from the band name is a matter of blasphemy.

Let's do a rap song.
I prefer rap to deathcore. Rap song pre-negotiated. Consider it done.

Nothing wrong with Frank Mullen on here. Suffocation were influential on deathcore, some teens are gonna se his name check out Suffocation because of this and probably think it's 'totally sick and brutal dude!', and maybe Frank just likes the band.
