15 years since their last release, and a lot has happened since then. It'll be an interesting record to say the least. Let's hope their return album is as strong as Alice In Chain's "Black Gives Way To Blue" was.

I somehow doubt this. I really want this to be good, but frankly I have a wretched feeling it might suck really, really bad.

Did you hear them live at Showbox? If so...I think you'll agree that Chris's vocals aren't an issue. I'm a little concerned about the song-writing and the lyrics going into this record, but I'm staying optimistic. I'm hoping they'll just go back to Louder than Love heaviness applied to Superunknown ambitiousness.

I think this could be the biggest hit or miss of the year tbh.

It won't be coming out this year...I think they are taking their time with it. But otherwise, I agree with you. For me, it's really hard to top Down on the Upside and Superunknown. But if they pull an Alice in Chains and make an incredible album...I will certainly be appeased.

New Avengers single gives me hope that this might actually be released this year.
I'm sure it'll have a different spin than that meh single had

LIve To Rise was such a hit on the spot with The Avengers film and a super glorious moment for Soundgarden to hit the scene again. What this new album will bring.... Well, tbh, I do to have some doubts and fears it won't be anything like the superb albums Soungarden gave us (ekhm, Superunknown, ekhm), but then again 15 years have passed, the music scene has changed so much, but the guys have been here all along, so.... Have no idea what to expect, I'm gonna buy it for the sake of being Soundgarden and of course because I gotta get my ears on anything that Cornell does. He's getting better as the years go by.

It isn't as heavy as the older stuff, but I still like it. More alternative sounding than metal.

Except " Non-State Actor", rest of the songs were straight-out-flat grunge. And even bit boring too.

This will be a cliche im sure has been said many times before but this band are not what they were. There will never be another Badmotorfinger. They should of stayed 'retired'.
