I've heard a lot of negative notes about Draconian, and yet my love for them grows with each release. Their music is so charming and honest that I find it incomprehensible how anyone can dislike them. In any case, I think everyone will agree that "The Burning Halo" is an interesting release. It can't be considered a new full length album, it can't be considered a re-issue, it can't be considered an album of covers, yet, in the end, it's all of them together. You've got to appreciate the work they put on to deliver this delicious gift to their fans.

DEAD
I can't describe my feeling about this album...
I think it is one of my most memorable albums.
The "Serenade of Sorrow" makes me cry...

Another incredible album from Draconian. The first three songs and 'The Gothic Embrace' are definite highlights, and somehow it proves to be a more epic listen than ever before.

A Nice Guy
Another terrific album, in their early days Draconian were one of the best gothic doom bands around. The instrumentation has some beautiful moments, the lead guitar melodies and piano playing especially.

The songwriting once again is impressive, it's both depressive and uplifting depending on your mood at the time, and is wonderfully constructed. The growls are very good but the female vocals are what really makes this band stand out for me, she is a wonderful vocalist. Aside from the two cover songs at the end (which are just OK imo) the rest of the album is fantastic.
