I think the purpose of this album was to show that "the way the music is performed and produced has changed and grown immeasurably but the heart of the music, the melody and harmony, the structures of chords that pull at the heart strings remains the same as ever" as Danny stated in the foreword. I guess, in this sense "Falling Deeper" serves its purpose, but still, in the end of the day, I'd rather listen to the original versions of those songs. I agree with BloodTears on that.

Wasted album. The original songs are hard to recognise to the extent that they should have just given them different names and called it an ambient interlude album

I understand this is supposed to be an ambient modern classical release and that their typical atmospheric brand of alt-rock isn't on display, but these songs could and should have been so much more engaging. Instead they seem to be stuck on "intro" mode and never go anywhere. This works for the first song but after 10 minutes of the same thing it just feels frustrating, like I wanted to break into my speakers and manipulate the sound because nothing was happening.

A failed ambition to say the least.

How about we change the release type to "Album" as it was completely re-recorded?
