Ugh. Boring, slow, generic... This is not what I was expecting at all. Terribly disappointed with this. 
Oh well. Before the Dawn wasn't awful.

slow, generic...
tl,dr version of Black Sun Aeon  The one man army still does a pretty decent job overall. People might find this album quite repetitive because most of the tracks similarly have a part change on the final third. "Sheol" is probably the best track.

Is it really so much better than the last ones? I always considered them quite good but somewhat forgettable.
By the way, you should check out his earlier project Dawn Of Solace - something between Before The Dawn and Black Sun Aeon, but rather unknown, unfortunately.

I think it's the weakest to date unfortunately. And if you thought the previous albums were forgettable, you won't want to go anywhere near this.

Well, decent album from my most favourite metal artist... But I am still waiting for album that will beat The Darkness (Dawn of Solace) --- total masterpiece :-)
According to Black Sun Aeon, Routa was pretty better than this album :-)
Oh yeah, and who wants to enjoy Tuomas more needs to check RoutaSielu... Pimeys is a really good album (harder to get into but now I really appreciate its "roughness"). Also, if you like Mikko Heikkilä's voice, this is a must for you as he participates in the band (and on the album) as well...

I would have probably liked it more if there was no female vocalist, she sounds pretty lame.
