So you guys like death metal? Me too, but only if it's either of superb quality or dares to venture into uncharted territories. But what about generic death metal? You know, band 'A' inventing the genre, band 'B' doing what band 'A' does, sometimes even better, sometimes a bit worse, then band 'C' rips off band 'B' (which is already basically a rip-off of band 'A'), then band 'D' rips off band 'C', until we get a genre plagued by hundreds of bands doing the same goddamn thing. Who the fudge has the patience to even wade through all that crap, let alone enjoy it? To put it bluntly, In Torment In Hell sounds like an album made by a band 'Z', who ripped off all the other bands preceding it in alphabetic order. Yup, it's that generic and derivative.

Ive never made any secret about how much I dislike this album. lol Absolutely terrible album that actually makes "Insineratehymn" seem like a decent effort. Not a single great or memorable track to be found anywhere here. Without doubt, Deicide's worst album. Tedious, monotonous stuff.

This album is good in highlighting the greed of record companies. Not an album to be taken seriously, this is not the real Deicide.
