Am I looking for an easy target to just mock and laugh at, I hear you ask? Well, it's not my intention, but sometimes an album is an easy target for a reason and boy, does Temper, Temper hold up one big bullseye for people to aim at. Regarded as the moment the bubble burst for Bullet For My Valentine, the album pinpoints the moment where the band's rapid upward trajectory become a downward spiral they have yet to pull out of.

Very mediocre and forgettable. I liked the first three albums, but I've lost interest in the band after this one. 6.5 at best.

Full disclosure, I'm new to metal.

That being said, I'm most likely going to get the deluxe version when this comes out. I definitely want to hear the additional tracks.

What is sad is that their singles, Riot and Temper Temper are the best off of the album. It was really forgettable, even though I knew it would be I still was disappointed. I think when I'll see them in the summer festival they'll be playing in my country it will be the last time I'll care what they do. At least I have their first three albums to go by.

So I listened to the singles when they were released. Didn't finish either of them. I finally listened to the album from start to finish and I reached a simple conclusion. This album would show a lot of promise if it were BFMV's first album. Failing that caveat its existence can only be justified by reminding oneself that it was written on the road when they realized they had a whole lot of unfinished songs from the Fever sessions that they could probably cash in on. Wait, did I say that justifies its existence? Maybe I need to stop drinking now...

EDIT: Best track on the album is the AC/DC cover. Fancy that.

Fever was still a solid release even as it was less interesting than the predecessor.

This album (Temper Temper) however is just childish boredom with unbelievable generic songwriting and pubertal lyrics.

Lol, these guys used to be my FaVoRiTe band when I was like 12. I don't remember them sounding this...this...bleh. And what's with the album's title, can it be any more childish?
