Title track sounds amazing. Kiske has still got that Power metal voice, even if he doesn't like it.

yea i know that Deris have problems with songs from "Kiske era" but this is understandable because Deris does not have such a range of voice..
Im not defending him but overall imo his live vocal performance is more than good..:)

indeed mate.... he's got a unique voice, hard'n'heavy stuff and screams.... i adored what he did in Pink Cream 69. He proved once again in Helloween too, but only in songs from "Deris era"... he performs very well on stage, also now, regarding his songs, so unfortunately i can't say that for Kiske songs

I wouldn't go so far as to call this hard rock, more like glam metal for me at times.....Kiske's vocals are mediocre, instruments never seem to stretch for me....cringeworthy in my opinion, I'm disappointed

Yeah, it's rock... the tittle track is the most metal thing on there

Dull, dull, dull. I thought Kai Hansen was on this. Doesn't seem like anyone is playing the guitar. Maybe some old chap in a woolly cardigan with an acoustic and a dog by the fire, in a rocking chair, with a pipe and a packet of Wurther's original, smelling a bit like wee, wearing tartan slippers.

I have been a bit harsh. After further listens its not as bad as I first thought. Not the Helloween power metal that everyone was expecting. If you listen to it as hard rock then its quite good.
Highlights being the title track, Souls Alive and My Sanctuary. Had hoped for more mental guitars though, especially as Kai wrote a lot of the songs.
I will never give a CD its first listen in the car again. My car stereo is factory fit and doesn't sound that great. As soon as I put it on my home system it sounded completely different.

Before I listened to it I thought it would sound like Helloween with Kiske and Hansen. Then I was a little bit disappointed. It sounds like previous works of Michael Kiske - Place Vendome and Supared. The song that opens album is heavy/power and very good one. The rest of songs are hard rock. Not so bad but I expected more. If you liked Place Vendome albums you will like Unisonic too.

Not bad, but I was hoping for some stuff to be a little heavier. Would've been a bit better if Kai sang as well.

Not a bad start at all. It is definitely part hard rock. It is Kiske's band after all. But there is plenty of Helloween still in these guys. I can't wait to see where they go with this band.

I think this a good album for a band that it just started, even if 2 of the line up are power fathers and the other 3 are really good musicians, but all the record just feel boring after hearing the title track, i mean i just feel like a heard all the album in the first track, i'll wait and maybe we'll see an in your face album sometime.

This is a good album, but, yeah, as most people have said, if you go in expecting power metal a la Keeper of the Seven Keys, you're gonna be horribly disappointed. My favourite tracks are Unisonic (I actually nearly did a happy dance when I heard it for the first time), Renegade (really catchy chorus, rest is a bit meh to me) and My Sanctuary (awesome song all around).
