Seems like he's getting into the "one album per year" thing... I don't mind. He's still far away some other projects that go far more insane in terms of amount of stuff in a year.
I'm mindly interested... I hope it'll be another improvement.

I doubt he wrote anything during his prison time at all besides the ambient albums, he didn't get access to any instruments besides a keyboard or something as far as I'm concerned. H

Looking forward, doesn't matter if Belus or Fallen style, both a good... a Fallen style with 2 or 3 long atmospheric tracks like on Belus would be best.
An album a year is too much... but he doesn't tour and probably lives out of his music and his writings, so it's a bit logical I guess.

Not really sure how I feel about this one. On one hand there were elements on Fallen that I really liked, but on the other hand all of his post-prison work has been a far cry from his earlier material. Not really gonna get myself too excited for this.

He did have a lot of time to write/think/plan in jail, still this is a bit too fast in my opinion. I get the feeling the records are rushed. Suppose he's cashing in to pay for his church burnings.

Well, I personally think you should listen to the more classic material like Hvis Lyset Tar Oss (which imo is his best work) instead of trying an album of a band that these days is sadly past his prime.... Just saying.
Unless you tried that already and didn't like it...

About halfway through and I swear he's using the same progressions on every song... unsurprisingly quite repetitive and overlong so far. I like the sound in general but it's too plodding and samey in the song writing department.
Meh, couldn't finish it.

Yeah, do that. I havent found any leak except youtube stuff (probably because I'm too lazy to find anything) but it's always better to hear something more legit.

It's pretty much leaked everywhere. Leaks just don't stream (unless the label/band decides to stream it and release it earlier than initially planned), so you aren't going to get any zines or Bandcamp/SoundCloud/etc. links that have more than a few previews or whatever.
In any case, I'm still withholding. But the day this thing's officially released and I find out it's the same shit I listened to a month prior... I don't even know.

For reviewing purposes I agree with you but not every album has a collection of great songs worth listening to. Sometimes only a handful of songs standout. For the most part I listen to every album in it's entirely but there are some that I cherry pick one of more songs off.

Depends on the genre off course. I can give or take easily a couple of tracks of certain genres but I think the more extreme the genre the more it's necessary to see the whole picture. but overall... If I want an opinion, I listen to the whole thing... It's part of a concept, not matter how "normal" the music is.

I've heard the entire album. So...
WAY TOO LONG. Just by taking 25 mins the album would have been better but that doesn't say much.
I thought it was going to be way worse considering Troy and Joe's comments.... but nah. If it was 40 min it could have been a 6 or at the very most a very very light 7... But nah, 5 it is. Could have been less shitty but nah... he wanted it to be fucking long. I found Fallen to be a step up after the shitty Belus... but now we're back with the shittyness.
