Shovel parting earth and an unnerving scream signal an imminently approaching force. A force to be reckoned with it is one which mouths to you your own doubts and brings you to question your own sanity. The listener will find themselves in a position from which they cannot move, fastened tight within a straight-jacket of exceptionally resilient musical compositions.

Rating: 8 OH my god this album is luscious.

Agreed with the consensus: it's even better than the glorious After. Take everything you loved from After and make it more streamlined, more focused, more beautiful, and more mature. End result is THIS ALBUM.

Rating: 7 Pretty good, little off put by the sax, sometimes it just doesn't fit.

I haven't listened to any of Ihsahn's solo stuff since Angl, but now my curiosity is piqued.

Also, I wonder if Ihsahn and his wife call themselves by their respective nicknames around the house hahahahah

"IHSAHN COME CLEAN THIS SHIT UP!"
"SHUT UP WOMAN I'M DOING MUSIC!"

Rating: 7 I personally prefer After to Eremita, but what is offered here is really good too! It didn't make my Top 20 list from last year, but it's still a grower and and has much packed into it.

Yet your rating for After is a 9

Rating: 10 After is much better than this, was an epic album. But I still need a few more listens to digest Eremita. The Grave is "odd" but with nice drums. Maybe without Grief + The Grave this album would be better...

Rating: 10 After lot of listens, this album is awesome, allways same experience with Ihsahn.
