Arkhon is a young band that comes from Cyprus. They use to play a really strong and aggressive Death Metal, mixed with Black without forgetting some good melodic touches. It's not bad at all and promising, Arkhon isn't unoriginal and their songs are strong, it's promising at the end. The five songs of the Demo are ok. The music of Arkhon is strong and heavy and actually we're not too far away of "real" Death Metal. The two vocals of the singers are really strong, the Death one is perfect and the "Blacky" one isn't bad at all too. Though, the riffs and the rhythms are really heavy too, it's fast and will thrash your ears. At the end, Arkhon produced a good demo that reminds me the really old Dark Tranquillity (period "Skydancer"), the songs are really aggressive but they all have some good melodies. Read more ›› |
