Not that it's bad or anything but ffs MDB, stop making the same songs over and over and over and over again, it's getting tedious :\

Very very good EP, more better than their 2012 full-length album my final grade for this EP is 8.5 .

With the exception of the title track and the first half of Vår Gud Över Er, which both sound totally boring and uninspired, this is a nice EP with trademark MDB riffs. Still I hope that their next full-length will be much better.

Even though I love(d) this band I have to agree with you. The songs on here are solid and must seem excellent to people who haven't heard anything (or much) by MDB before but seeing as I listened to pretty much everything they ever released I think this is nowhere near original... hell, I'd even say this is terribly generic. Still doesn't mean it's bad but I hope they at least can be more original in the future. I doubt that will happen though.

That's it. MDBs albums have been with me since 7 or 8 years now and they are amongst the albums I've played the most and up until (and including) A Line of Deathless Kings (which many older fans hate) they were able to come up with new sounds and every album sounded different while maintaining the soul of the band, but then it seems that they ran out of ideas and began regurgitating old stuff resulting in an uninspired, generic and boring couple of LPs (and this EP).

MDB is one of the bands that got me into metal and especially doom metal, about 10 years ago. Look at my best to worst list (and let me know what you think of it ) and you'll see I'm not one of those people, yet I think A Line of Deathless Kings is just "good". I think Songs of Darkness, Words of Light is truly their last excellent album and since then they've become less and less interesting, with the absolute worst album being For Lies I Sire (not counting Evinta), but A Map of All Our Failures was a lot better again, fortunately. But yes, your last sentence is spot-on, seeing as the originality isn't anywhere to be found, sadly.

An absolutely fantastic album that managed to dominate my music player already for a long time.
I always loved their old work, but I am also really fond of all their new releases.
Who cares about originality when there is still no other band being able to produce the same perfectly balanced subtle, gentle, and when necessary even brutal masterpiece songs.
Hope they never change!

This is an outstanding EP. Their best EP by far.
I do enjoy all the four songs here, in particular Var gud over er and Only tears to replace her with.

A Nice Guy
Another solid EP as usual, although I'm not completely blown away by this EP as a whole.
"Vår gud över er" is the one song which surprises me, it's become one of my favourite songs from this band, the other tracks are ok but not quite as good imo.
