Rating: 7 Good, but this album is essentially a mixed bag. Some songs are instrumentally brilliant, whereas others simply get lost in themselves far too quickly and as a result have no sense of direction. The vocals are okay, sometimes even brilliant, but too often seem to take away from the focus on the musicianship. It also suffers from the fact that the vocals appear a little too low in the mix, so what you're really hearing is an unbalanced sound. That said, the songwriting here is very consistent and near enough every song manages to regain its excellent musical quality because of that. My personal favourite song would be the instrumental 'A negligible senescence', though only because it focuses on instrumentation.
