Damn, this one is damn cool. Found them through Subrosa, since they released on the same day. A fucking heavy and psychedelic-trance inducing album. I wonder if their older albums sound this good. The vocals are brilliant as well.

Better than the debut, but still not very good IMO. I would direct you to Hela's debut Broken Cross instead. Quite similar in style but superior in songwriting. And I prefer the vocals too, though the style is quite similar.

That sounds pretty decent, but lacks the hazy, psychedelic impact of this. Windhand totally play to my love of Witchcult Today so I find it far more appealing. I'll certainly be giving Hela some more attention though.

On my second consecutive listen and I'm digging this. Those vocals are insane.

Awesome, I still prefer Undersmile over this but it wasn't a drag for me ... in fact I was waiting for the last 30 minutes song and I realized the album was over , time just went by !

A nice slice of sludgy, hypnotic doom. 'Evergreen' is beautiful and 'Woodbine' is powerfully heavy. I really like how the vocals sound so mesmerizing at times too, as on the album opener 'Orchard'.

Drawn out indeed but pretty nice nonetheless. You just gotta move past the whole "holy shit that's LONG" at first. At the end of the day it's pretty standard but well executed. It took me a while to properly check it out due to the length of the album but I'm glad I finally gave it a proper listening. Really liked the acoustic moments, I'm a sucker for those even if they are so simple.

If struck well, there is a beauty in simplicity.
