Meh, you write it like it is a bad thing. I enjoy myself at shows, what a shame!

It's not a problem enjoying oneself at shows but it is saying that something was good or great when it clearly wasn't. And B"olzer were definitly not good at all at Roadburn.

It is saying that something was good or great when it clearly wasn't.

But doesn't this just add up to the big pile of discussions that basically translates to "Just a matter of opinions"?
And ok, let's say they were bad... Give me some credit, man. It's not like I go to shows as often as you (plus the time I've been around "in the scene" compared to your time).
Maybe when I'm an old fuck I'll be all "nah this sucked" just like you!

why I did read "shower" instead of show ?

I dunno... Maybe you where thinking of me taking a shower when you read through this album thread?
Don't think about Marcel taking a shower though.
Angel N. - 18.04.2014 at 16:59
Rating: 8 But seriously I have no idea why Marcel has complaints about their live performance, I think as long as a band like Bplzer can perform live, it's pretty enough and cool.

By them being bad I am referring to first of all them starting ten minutes late due to an excesively long line check/sound check and still sounding crap after that and them making quite a lot of sloppy to big mistakes.

I can get behind the 10 minutes part of your comment. It was annoying.
Terra Tenebrosa was even worse. 20 minutes late and playing only a bit more than half an hour.

Yeah their new EP is great, but it isn't quite as good as Aura. I love that second track as well

I owe Bolzer an apology. This warmed up to me big time.

It's cool to me, I'm not a fan (generally) of longer albums. The only EP thing pretty much guarentees all killer no filler.

Fair enough. I personally prefer full length albums, though.

It'd be cool if they made two or three more EPs and then put them all on single sided 12" in a boxset. Would buy.

I don' t really remember bands doing good eps. Most of them just do it to release some new music, often not that really good and with lots of live material.

Let me introduce you to bands like Deathspell Omega, Blut Aus Nord, Jesu and Gnaw Their Tongues which have done some of their bests on EPs.

I listened to one thing or two from these bands, but none that I really enjoyed (ep or not). But yeah, looking now, people seem to enjoy their eps.

Rating: 9 I love that each song has a completely different flavor while also managing to be really solid. The crust on the first track is a blast, and those melodies on the second track feel really unique.

I'm not an expert on crust, so someone please feel free to correct me. I don't recall crust as a defining part of Bolzer's music in any way.

First track, C.M.E., there is a recurring part with a punk-sounding beat. This portion would be considered crust. It's only in that song, thus my comments about liking how each track is different.

That song has one of the sickest riffs in recent memory. Especially when you realize it's all played on one guitar.

Yeah, I actually stopped what I was doing when that part kicked in. Very different-sounding and just super-memorable.

Too bad the second EP wasn't up to par, though I'm still hopeful for the full-length.

Yeah, wtf happened. I was stoked going right from Aura to Soma and could not believe the drop in quality.
