Nice!

Their 2011 debut was a fun little piece of brutality. After hearing the first couple tracks, this looks promising!

This has to be the essence of tech-death turned up to eleven, and not in an entirely good way. I don't mean to say that it's generic since it at times is remarkably catchy and forcefully inspired. It's rather that Archspire seems to take the staples of the genre, everything that makes people people both love it and hate it, and intensify it to the point where I myself (and probably other fans of the genre) find it a bit excessive. Also, there are bass drops on this album - FUCKING BASS DROPS WHATISTHISFUCKINGSKRILLMAUF?!? - Which automatically retracts half a point from the score.

"The Quaker"
A bit too much but way above most tech death offerings. Extremely intense, they play very tight, and the amount of accuracy and level of skill ALL of them put into their playing is just amazing. Would love if these guys make a slower song with crazy buildups.
