Possible Noise record?

Going by their recent output it'll probably be indie rock -_-

Lol I seriously hope they don't continue with the mediocrity of the last album, nor make any progressions in that style...

I think the last record of theirs I enjoyed was the ' Klatter' collab with Merzbow.

Maybe they want to do what bong did with stoner rock

It's possible. They've done noise stuff before. Honestly though I don't think we're ever going to see a golden age of Boris again.

Right after Altar it seems everything went to shit (Well, I haven't heard Smile but after that one... Eh).

Smile was quite ok, was pretty psychedelic, but was definitely where the quality started to dip.

In the press release, the band stated: "It is an amplification of Boris' endless pursuit of musical extremes while moving aggressive, intense rock into new territories. Here, the band masterfully intermingles sludge-rock, blistering crust punk, shimmering shoegaze, epic thunderous doom, psychedelic melodies and just about everything else they've ever done. (The result) is something more bold, streamlined and powerful."

It's gonna be indie pop, I know it -_-

I'd prefer Crust Pop.

Of course.
Marcel Hubregtse - 19.05.2014 at 00:55
It is a somewhat metallish version of indie pop and totally unforgettable at that. With every song Ik thought 'wichelroede indie pop band wrote the original? '?

We can call it "crap" too.

I dunno, Präparat was good IMO. I like pretty much anything Boris puts out.

Also, I feel a Deafheaven/Boris Collaboration is stirring. Lots of buzz with the two on social media. That would sound pretty amazing if you ask me.

Pretty much how I felt, although I'm assuming you meant "totally forgettable"? Because it is, TOTALLY forgettable. Complete shit
Mr. Doctor - 09.06.2014 at 23:58
To me it was better than I expected. 6-to-low-7 stuff.
Marcel Hubregtse - 10.06.2014 at 01:56
I had to relisten this album loads of times and it is truly crap 35/100

Agreed. One of the worst albums of the year for me. Absolute shit
Troy Killjoy - 11.06.2014 at 00:08
I got to the third track and deleted it from my computer.

EDIT: wrong album, same band
Apothecary - 24.06.2014 at 21:22
Well, considering all the sore anuses in these comments, I should probably give this a listen. I find a growing trend in the fact that I typically enjoy what nearly everyone else hates
IronAngel - 05.07.2014 at 14:46
Some good stuff, like Angel, but nothing special. I don't think it's terrible but I don't find a lot to latch onto.
