The awful tragedy that hit Decapitated ten years ago brought important changes to the band, with new members joining and with the guitarist and main songwriter, Vogg, deciding to switch to a new style. Most of the early tech-death era fans hate this change, but it is a reality and they either have to accept it and appreciate Decapitated's new music for what it is or just listen to something else. Anticult is bound to get the Polish extreme metallers some new admirers, but it will almost surely send away forever many of the old ones that were still following the band.

Wooo. Nuclear blast is on the spree with some good releases this year. Hoping this lives up to it and that there will also be a tape release!

I

Back down kiddo, the earlier case was not a warning and there was only song title known so it was added only sans the track number.

I just read the article here on MS and didn't find the full tracklist so thought it wasn't revealed. My mistake for thinking MS news carried all the info, yeah good job guys.

Which article? I only find the one where the artwork and one song is shown.

Yes that is the article I was referring, that it didn't carry the full tracklist details.

You are making false acusations as if it was Metalstorm's fault that you put an incorrect tracklist here. I'm looking at that news link and nowhere does it show any tracklist at all. It only talks about the new album release date and a song from that album. If that link actually had a faulty tracklist then you'd be right. But it doesn't have one to begin with (and many news do not carry a tracklist with them as sometimes the band releases just one song and artwork, sometimes not even that).

I didn't accuse, go back and read what I wrote when quoting Paz. My point is articles would be better if they carried all the info revealed/available about the album because that is how I put in info when adding news and thought how the staff did as well which it seems is not the case with the latest Decapitated news article.

Wow, so everyone is blind now? I just said the articles would be better IF they had all the info.

Already said in my very first quote that it is MY mistake for assuming MS news had all the info. So I've confessed right there in case you are still wondering.

And what's that about me editing my posts? What is there is what I first wrote and you can see it in Rod's quote too.

Damn, didn't mind the change in style at all. I actually liked the last 2 albums. This one is a bit of a bummer though... Shame...

Exactly how I felt while listening, especially when it comes to the title track. More hardcore than technical death indeed.

Disappointed in this release, was very excited from hearing the two great singles but i feel as though the rest of the album is just filler.

Haven't really listening to any of their music but I heard these guys just got arrested for kidnapping a woman. A reviewer I follow brought it up on facebook, and I look it up and see several articles on it like (The Spokesman Review ,Pitchfork, NY Daily News and Metalsucks). Don't know it it's really true or not just thought I'd give a heads up.

3... 2... 1... headbang!!! Incredible groove, catchable, immediately accessible, but at the same time interesting and technical. A rare combination.

I like it. Anticult's not your typical brutal death metal album, but it doesn't have to be. The groovier and more catchy style works fine for me.
