Running Out Of Time Doing Nothing marks the longest gap between full length albums from The Meads Of Asphodel yet. Has this time off slowed down their momentum as artists though? You can bet your arse that it hasn't.

Literally me right now

Life was a commercial for itself, endlessly replayed.
Nothing changed, it just spread out farther and farther in the form of neon ooze.

Longest gap between any of their studio albums, so hoping it's something good. Guess it won't be as dark as Sonderkommando but I imagine it'll have a sardonic nature.

Some of the statements from Metatron recently seemed to suggest that it was originally going to be a concept album somewhat following in the vein of TMOJTJ and Sonderkommando but that that eventually changed. I think there was even one comment that it's more Exhuming/Damascus Steel-ish in sound. Either way, major hype.

I'd definitely go for another Damascus Steel type sound thing.

Can't listen to this atm but supposedly has snippets.

Just got the promo for this one. Indeed a little more in line with the older Meads sound: rawer, less Avant-garde than Sonderkommando, and an overall clearer presence of the black metal. Still weird as hell though, with a bunch of electronic, neoclassical, folk, and punk influences.

Yeah it's pretty fucking great. I never really liked the edginess, but it's kind of part of the charme by now. And it's just sooooooooo well composed

I really love this one already... The highlight for me is "Funeral Drums Of Insomnia's Labyrinth", which reminds me of Emptiness for some reason
