It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Has been the lead singer of bands like "Yngwie Malmsteen", "Talisman", "Axel Rudi Pell", "Journey" and has made guest appearances to albums from bands like "House Of Lords", "Dokken", and "Trans-Siberian Orchestra". A very diverse singer, has sang different styles of Music, from heavy metal to funk rock/soul. His solo albums feature a more commercial melodic rock sound/style.

The band has been active for 11 years in which the members were so creative making some great majestic metal music worth sharing with poeple all over the world. They are really showing their fans that metal music is about passion, strengh and harmony.
To summarize, MOTW should be on Metal Storm because metalheads will enjoy discovering it, share it with their metal mates and allow them to dive into a sea of awesomeness. Also, because MOTW needs to be more famous since their work deserves it ;)
Thanks Metal Storm for introducing great bands to metalheads :)
Keep it up guys \m/

Life To Those Shadows is a new band from Brazil. They've just released their first single and it is really impressive! I think they should be on Metal Storm so more people could listen to their first work and know about them! They Will Certainly Succeed as A Great and Very Innovative Band!
17.07.2016 - Cynic Metalhead
First death metal band from Nepal to be assigned to international label Legion Of Death Metal Records. Extremely taleneted musicians who already rose to the fame and shared the stage with big acts like Behemoth and Dark Tranquility.

Equinox was created in the autumn of 2007 when a drummer Željko Stanisavljević responded to an add by a guitarist Sava Jović, concerning the foundation of a serious band. The music was intended to be in the realm of progressive rock/metal genre. After some changes in line-up (guitarist, bassist and four keyboard players replaced in one year) guitarist Aleksandar Djordjić and bassist Danko Radulović joined Equinox. The band decided to give up on an unsuccessful search for a keyboard player and keep the four-member-line-up. In this stable setting, the band started to work on new songs and for the first time they considered going into a studio. In the spring of 2009, Equinox recorded a demo EP called "Leaving behind" containing four songs. The EP got some really great and positive reactions from media and people who had a chance to hear it. As a part of the promotion of "Leaving Behind", Equinox performed for the first time on November 21st, 2009, in Belgrade. Besides their own songs from the EP, they also played covers of "Pain of Salvation" and "Dream Theater".

Utopian Trap is a progressive metal band from San Francisco Bay Area. The band morphed from a project called Fiction, founded in 2005 by their guitarists Chandra and Vinod. In the early days they started writing songs and actively looking for band members. Hard hitting versatile drummer Jai came on board in 2007. Through various connections, Anand(vocals) and Sid(bass, backup vocals) were invited to join the band in late 2008 to start working on the debut album. The metal project Fiction had now become Utopian Trap. The band spent most of 2009 recording and producing the album Fiction Fades Into Reality. While rooted in traditional heavy metal, this album delves into technical, thrash and progressive territories. This complex debut CD is packed with heavy, technical and addictive riffs, explosive and intelligent rhythms, powerful vocals, and deep and thoughtful lyrics. The album has received rave reviews online and has been featured on metal podcasts and radio stations across the globe. Accomplished bassist/keyboardist Farhan joined Utopian Trap in December 2010. Since their debut CD release, the band has been gigging, writing new music. Multiple lineup changes delayed the writing/recording process, but the long awaited second studio album, The Human Price, is ready for a release on July 13th, 2016.

They're Metal, in a generic NWOBHM type way. They would give the obese walrus-like mammal creatures from 'That Metal Show' a hard-on. But besides that, not much about them is what I like but you should add them because they are technically some form of metal.

Treat is a melodic hard-rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. In the second half of the 1980s they had national as well as international successes with songs like "Too wild", "Get you on the run", "Ride me high", "World of promises" and "Party all over".
They have been playing on arrangements like Monsters of Rock 1988 in Germany, they were the opening act for Queen in Sweden in 1986, and opened for W.A.S.P. during their first Sweden visit.
In 2005 they did a comeback and released the collection Weapons of choice 1984-2006 on March 19th, which included the previously unreleased track "Still in heaven" along with the two new songs "GO!" and "Burn for you". They did their first reunion show in front of 4000 people on the Sweden Rock Festival on 10 June 2006.
They have been signed on labels like Mercury, Vertigo and now Universal.

This album is a melancholic journey, through neoclassical, progressive and black metal music. I am new to metal storm, but this feels like something that should be on here. I was very surprised that it wasn't already on here. Not currently a large following on Youtube etc, but it is a good listen. The Atmospheric Black Metal Albums channel recently uploaded this, and after part of a listen I was sold, and immediately purchased it on bandcamp.
At least give it a listen, even if it doesn't make it on the site.
06.07.2016 - Kubyk Kandar
Kandar is releasing debut CD called "Groovy", which was release on 2nd of July 2016 on Bizarre Leprous Productions. The singer of this band is Topi - ex-vocalist of famous czech grindcore act Pigsty. This band presents raw, fast and brutal grindcore with atmospheric scapes. Whole album can be listened on our label's bandcamp - http://bizarreleprousproduction.bandcamp.com/album/groovy.

Japanese band, with two J-pop singers Rie Kaneko/Rei Kuromiya (clean vocals) with Ladybeard (growls). This band is very similar to Babymetal, in terms of musical style and comes very close in awesomeness. However, Ladybeard (real name: Richard Magarey) is a bearded, cross-dressing, Australian wrestler. They mix genres, the music is well-crafted and metal is present everywhere!
07.07.2016 - ScreamingSteelUS
They still need a full-length release to be added. Once that happens, hopefully soon, they can join our club.
03.07.2016 - BlackEssence
Some of you can know this band - 3teeth was a support with Primus to last Tool tour. 3teeth music contain some modular industrial sounds, heavy guitars, march tempo and some great atmosphere. Their new record is gonna be more metal, so I think they can be here, since Combichrist is.
01.07.2016 - lemmykilmr
The band's style resembles post-hardcore and progressive rock, often incorporating rapid changes of tempo and mood framed in complex guitar melodies and technical drumming. They utilize both male and female vocals ranging from soft singing to loud wails and screams.

Everyday I Die was founded in summer 2014 when Kohlhaas and Strid first got in touch with each other via Facebook. Strid happened to be looking for another challenge during the creative hiatus of his band Soilwork when some extremely interesting demo recordings by Kohlhaas came to his attention. Kohlhaas was thrilled that Strid out of all people, one of his favourite contemporary metal vocalists, commented so favourably on his material. Of course he used this unique opportunity and forwarded more examples of his musical ideas to the singer, receiving another positive reaction from Sweden: "Great composings, man!" Strid promptly enthused by e-mail, adding: "We should definitely do something together." The guitarist didn't need to be asked twice and, together with drummer Michael Stein and bassist Claude Ewert, produced the debut album Isolation at the Bazement Studio under the direction of Markus Teske (Vanden Plas, Saga, among others).

The reason why I believed this band should be here is because they are an upcoming band that has became popular rapidly. Them and babymetal are the bands in this generation that are bringing something to the game of metal with wagakki band they are using traditional Japanese folk instrument and mixing it with metal and it sounds amazing. That is my reason of them being in this website thank you for your time

They are an up and coming Canadian band, performing original styled, different music in an otherwise repetitive, monotonous world. They sign about important topics in addition to the usual nonsense. They have release 2 studio EP's and numerous live recordings so far, and are working on a full length album currently.
