01:36 - Apothecary Wardruna are some really badass dark neofolk from Norway, gonna be curating along with Enslaved next year. They bring out war drums, gongs, and other traditional stuff onstage. Pretty rad [link]
01:29 - Karlabos The only folk metal i want to see live is Jaldaboath :
01:21 - Apothecary Yeah, I'm not too big on folk metal live. Totally stoked for Wardruna at Roadburn next year, but then even they aren't really folk "metal"
00:43 - Redn1ght Reminds me of last year, Turisas and Ensiferum in the same month last year. Haha.. Too bad they suck at the moment.
00:40 - Apothecary Melvins and Primus shows both a week apart from each other in my town, yeeeeeeee boiiii
00:22 - Redn1ght There should be a series of those with different categories each year. Jari takes the: Bitch and moan! O woe is me! award.
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

21.08.2012 - Jaeryd17
I believe they're sufficiently metal enough if you consider the fact that most of they're stuff is based off of original heavy metal/hard rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, etc. It's not as "heavy" or as "metal" as some of the stuff you hear nowadays, but it's still metal/hard rock.
And yes, definitely MASTER EXPLODER.
27.01.2013 - Lit.
The Metal is a good enough reason for them to be on here. Let's put them with the group of other parodies like Dethklok, Steel Panther, Spinal Tap, etc.

MURSIC "Spawned from a Nightmare"
by Dave Good
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
A nonstop symphonic alt-metal ride from start to finish that displays a remarkable amount of instrumental craftsmanship. "Spawned from a Nightmare" is a concept album that takes a listener on a strange and dark journey through the collective imaginations of the band members of Mursic itself. Four years in the making, this debut is one of the few records I've ever heard that comes without flaws. It is haunting, well conceived, and destined for the gravitational pull of the larger stages that surely await this band.
"Nightmare" is reminiscent of Zakk Wylde - era Oz, King Crimson, Rob Zombie, and the Doors. Yep - those Doors. "Nova" is a clearly a salute to the L.A. rocker's vaudeville-ish "Alabama Song." On vocals and keys, MURSIC founder Tony Montemarano approaches the range of Cedric Bixler-Zavala but with the intelligent conviction of Faith No More's Mike Patton. With Brian Rumsey on guitar, bassist Ezra Broderson, and Clay Hackett on drums and percussion, MURSIC is the kind of band that crosses the prog rock divide and makes it possible to love both Yes and Rush at the same time.
It was Clay Hackett in fact who first brought MURSIC to my attention. He'd just left The Suicide Chords | San Diego, CA an all-original romance-metal outfit. The Chords had imploded a few weeks prior. We met in a La Mesa coffee shop in the village, and Hackett played me a couple of MURSIC demos on his iPad. He'd just auditioned for the band and they'd accepted him. He talked up the whole MURSIC concept that day, not just in terms of sound, but in terms of a something approaching a haunted house set and costumes. Refreshing, I told him. I have a real aversion to paying money to see any band that is dressed, well, like the audience.
"But that name," I said. "If you say MURSIC really fast, it kind of sounds like the name of that flesh-eating bacteria."
"Exactly," Hackett said. "Exactly."

Key Of The Moment was formed by former Orphaned Land ("Mabool") keyboardist and producer, Eden Rabin , who was seeking to create a new genre in metal. The new genre incorporates heavy guitar and drums with various musical-styles such as: Jazz, Flamenco, Latin-music and even classical music.
For this mission, Eden addressed Rimon Institute for Jazz and contemporary music, recruiting top musicians such as Tal Cohen (drums), Kfir Melamed (bass), Amit Dreizin (guitars) and Michal Akrabi (vocals).
Those were later replaced by Vocalist Iris Sternberg (also a "Rimon" scholar, and a renowned singer in Israeli pop-music), Guitarist Alon "Tewl" Tamir (ex- Project RnL), and bassist Jonathan Maimon (who played with Eden in the jazz-fusion group, Right On Time).
Together they make one of the most original and promising prog-metal bands around. With complex yet catchy songs, versatility, and originality, Key Of The Moment's debut full-album ("The Switch") received overwhelming reviews world-wide.

UPDATE: from our Official Website http://ghostwarfare.com/ you can follow the links to all our stuff on the web! We have 2 officially released albums Alternate Endings and Outer Rim part I: Beyond The Veil (hear them here: https://ghostwarfare.bandcamp.com/) and we're about to finish our third - Dusk Reloaded by the end of 2014 AND we're also working on the second part of Outer Rim which will be entitled Sign Of Armageddon and will hopefully be ready at some point in 2015. Our music is quite a mixture of many styles and vary from alternative, through power, progressive, symphonic all the way to black metal which always makes if difficult to explain what exactly are we playing and the forthcoming third album will NOT make it easier for we have varied even more! In conclusion - if you want to hear something new, unique and meaningful (oh, we DO have a message!) - then head our way!

An up and coming stoner rock band based in Manchester , not far off a second full length release. Played with the likes of Karma To Burn, Witch Mountain, Sons Of Merrick as support.

While the overall genre is melodeath, they have influences from both symphonic and folk metal what gives the band a unique sound. The songs are often faster paced than the average melodeath, the occasional clean vocals and brighter guitars give it a certain note which makes them special (to me at least). They haven't brought an album out yet, but i don't see a problem with that, a few bands have been registered on Metalstorm before releasing an album, for example Darkest Horizon.
