It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Crows in the rain band was formed by Hamed and Masih in the autumn of 2014. The initial thought to the formation of the band came from an improvisation. It happened in a rainy evening of that same autumn when the crows were flying all over the place.
In 6 months (autumn and the following winter), 3 tracks were released, but afterwards until the summer of 2015 they remained in silence. During this time there were many collaborations with different musicians to see if they can be joined in the projects of the band and finally Mehrnaz(Cello) and Lnaz(Vocal) were fully harmonized with the group.
Crows in the rain has worked in different genres like post-rock, instrumental rock and ambient, until they released their first album in 3 February 2016.
In their own words:
We've never wanted to work in a special genre like post-rock, we've always wanted to have a way to put our feelings into it. We've always tried to be away from all the media craze and we hope we can honestly and purely reveal ourselves in our music. To be as simple as we can and to act as a bridge for transferring this simplicity. Not only you can hear the music, but also feel and live it.
23.03.2016 - SYCON
We got a full length cd as required. It'd be a great honour to be featured on this site. Here you can find some info:
Sycon bears just one thing in mind with their music - Total Havoc!
Brutal guitar riffs, versatile vocals, stomping beats and atmospheric synths defines the music, all while retaining their melodic metal roots.
Groove Factor Guaranteed!
Sycon was founded in 2009 at Oranienburg, north of Berlin. 2011 they released their first demo EP "Sniper's Poem". 2012 they moved to Berlin-Köpenick and had a fundamental member change. 2013 the only remaining member guitarist Moe joined with Jay from the Philippines as lead guitarist. They released the single "I'm the One" featuring Aurelia's Turm singer Marcel and Declamatory's drummer Fabi. In the End of the year Jay and Moe joined force with drummer Tobi, who was playing the davul and various percussion at the medieval group Obscuratis. Shorty after bassist Lars joined Sycon. 2014 they released the single "Downer" with female singer Seline. In early 2015 they finally found their permanent frontman Daniel, which worked before with Ill Kommodity and as rapper KoH Kain and is known as streamer KæinPlay. In spring 2015 they released the first single "Bulletstorm" of their debut album and played shows such as the Rocktreff open air festival in Berlin and as support for The Vision Bleak. Their self-tilted first album was released on March 27th 2016.
21.03.2016 - Mount Fuji
That's what others think about the music of Mount Fuji:
"Really good band from Leipzig, Germany. Alice in Chains and Helmet rides with Saint Vitus speed."
"Mount Fuji named after the legendary mountain are a heavy and loud as f*** band blending Sludge, Stoner and Doom Metal to heavy pounding effect. [...] Their debut release is a heavy and epic loud album you all need to check out now. I have been listening to it for the past couple of weeks or so. And it gets better with each and every listen. [...] Mount Fuji are a band you cannot pass up on. [...] Awesome and Highly Recommended."
"Mount Fuji is more than just a 90s re-hash band, there's something else they bring to the table besides genuineness: originality. [...] These guys sound thick and grungy but are undeniably a metal band, they rock hard. [...] Their album is heavy as s**t, but they're not afraid to let loose with great emotive choruses and melodies such as in "Just Human" and the end of "Head on Fire". [...] "Mount Fuji" is one of the most honest and genuine albums I've heard all year and is a cathartic and ultimately satisfying experience."
"MOUNT FUJI's style is a bit weird to describe: They have some Stoner influences but they are not a Stoner band, they have some Grunge influences but they definitely don't play Grunge, the vocals could fit in a Sludge band but nope…they don't sound like a Sludge band either. The best way to describe their style is Heavy Metal cause in the end of the day they play heavy music. On second thought, I'll try to be more brave here and compare their approach in music with DOWN (especially on their second album) and METALLICA ("Load" era). [...] With the guitar having the leading role, riff after riff the band renders the listener incapable of doing anything else other than constant headbanging. [...] So, if you like(semi) modern Heavy Metal music, with Doom-laden riffs and a mix of influences and flavors make sure you check this band out."
"You are confronted by a whole package of gripping tunes that actually grabs a hold of your attention and makes you take note as well as having you constantly nodding your head to the grooves."

If Babymetal and iwrestledabearonce can appear at Metalstorm, Winny Puuh should as well! Check out this performance:

The project "Virtual Symmetry" was born in 2009, the year in which the composition of some of the first tracks was started by the guitar player, multi-instrumentalist and also founder of the project Valerio Æsir Villa, from whose ideas the first studio album "Message from eternity" took shape, it has been recorded and finished between 2012 and 2014, with the collaboration of the bass player Alessandro Poppale (composer of one of the tracks called Pegasus).
The style of the project is progressive metal, but it has various influences that go from ambient, to fusion, to pop and to contemporary music, and it's characterized by epic suites rich of contrasting elements and cinematic atmospheres that are at the same time persistent and composed with a particular attention to the balance between melody and technique that always serves the communication and the real message, with the aim to bring the listener in a dynamic and emotional journey. In the "Message from eternity" tracks (finished in the first months of 2014), there are some very special guests like the legendary Dream Theater keyboard player Mr. Jordan Rudess and other important names of the European prog metal scene, for example the singer and producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (Frontiers Records, Edge of forever, Hardline), the guitar player and singer Marco Pastorino (Secret Sphere, Hate Tyler, Temperance) protagonist of every vocal track of the album and the multi- instrumentalist Ruben Paganelli playing keyboard and saxophone tracks. All the lyrics were written by Sirio Balmelli in collaboration with Valerio Æsir Villa. On 25th August 2014 Virtual Symmetry released their first track named Program Error (we are the virus), an articulate mini-suite that lasts over 10 minutes, in which there are two keyboard solos by Mr Rudess and a vocal participation by Del Vecchio that interprets Agent Smith from Matrix (a quote that the band wanted to put in the track as a tribute to a movie that really influenced the message and the phylosophy that's at the base of the song). The debut album Message from eternity is made of seven tracks, characterized by a fine and clean songwriting that's never predictable, full of all the influences that marked the creative path of each band member, and it ends with the title track: an epic 22 minutes suite divided into three chapters. In this song the band wanted to recap and put in evidence all the progressive elements of the previous tracks, as to narrate the end of a story focusing in the epilogue all the passages that made it interesting. The album will be released before the end of 2014 and it will feature Mr. Gustavo Sazes as the autor of the artworks, already known for his important works in the Prog Metal genre (James Labrie, Amaranthe, Angra and more).
19.03.2016 - Kais
I/O was founded in early 2014. The sole purpose has always been to create progressive metal and rock music by combining a plethora of different influences and musical directions while still keeping the package tight and edgy.
Soon after the first EP was released, the band came together and became a collective with individuals who shared the same vision and a burning passion to make awesome music. Growing and rocking out live together the lineup is now stronger than ever and determined to rock its audience's socks off live or in the studio. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCe6llVA8d8
