It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

TAKEN BY STORM is primarily a story of chance encounters with artists sharing the same passion for music.
For the past three years the group has been writing songs for their new album while successfully performing on the biggest European stages as the Nirvana tribute group Smells Like K. Spirit. The group has played at prestigious venues like the Olympia in Paris, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Belgrade Beerfest (120,000 spectators) in Serbia, the Fetes de Geneve in Switzerland, the Galaxie Amneville in France, and many other major cities and important theaters in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Switzerland
Strengthened by their "LIVE" performance experience, they work together perfectly as musicians and therefore decided to create a new group TAKEN BY STORM. Their friendship, built both on the road and on international stages, enabled them to start a new musical adventure with a solid foundation.
With a casual look and edgy sensitivity, Timmy Storm is the voice and guitarist for TAKEN BY STORM! On the bass is Donn Torres, multi-talented California musician who, in his long career, has had the opportunity to rub shoulders with great artists from the US and Europe. Hedi Black, experienced artist and in many cases the tireless leader of the group, lends himself to the role of the drummer. Alex Sanders, European's greatest guitar player joined the band on nov. 2014. With these four dynamic artists the group is ready for takeoff !
TAKEN BY STORM:
Powerful classic rock influenced by the music of the 60s-70s mixed with a recognizable voice and a positive attitude exploding on stage ... this is the identity and signature sound of the band !

For fans of bands like Tool and Intronaut. They have a very experimental sound. David Timnick from Intronaut is their newest member and Danny Carey makes an appearance on the new album as well.

Denmark's Vola released their debut album, Inmazes, this February. An interesting mix of djent riffs and tasteful electronica, topped off with great clean vocals. Heavy, yet with room for quiet moments; incredibly catchy, other times leaning more on the progressive side of things. These guys definitely bring something fresh to the djent-table.

We have recently had some interest in the band from a pretty decent label, and we are trying to up our exposure just a bit, and thought that your site would be an excellent way to do that.

Band name: Arion*
A great, talented young fellas', doing great melodic metal. Also teamed up with ex-Sonata Arctica guitarist and Cain's Offering's mastermind, Jani Liimatainen, for writing one of their newer songs "Seven". "Seven" can be heard here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHHKj8EafXE As always, there are better songs available, and one of them is "I Am The Storm" - which is fully contributed by themselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-NIKXZJb-o

This band was formed from the ashes of Vio-lence when Robb Flynn left.
The same line-up, with vocalist Sean Killian as well, played on the 1993 Vio-lence demo.
This band should be added to Metalstorm because they acquired a certain amount of fame thanks to Vio-Lence, and their music fit the website condition's criterias.

In 2004, Scott Allen, Tommy Murrell, and JD Schmidt came together in Scott's living room in Denton, TX to record a demo comprised of songs they had all been working on (both independently and together) for the better part of a year. The demo didn't take long to finish due to the fact that they had all previously been in a band together called Cantrip and had reliable chemistry established with one another.
With Tommy's beautifully percussive guitar riffs, Scott's growling bass lines and JD's scorching voice, Nociceptor was quickly becoming the culmination of more than ten years of individual musical development. Shortly after, Scott Freeman took on the role of guitarist along with Tommy, and Robert Edmondson took up residence behind the drums. Tommy eventually left the band to focus on his family, but they continued on as a quartet, playing their first show at the Hard Rock Café in Dallas on Friday, November 25th, 2005.
By the next year, they had released a 3 song demo, dubbed "Live and Burn." At the time, they practiced just across the hall from the owner's office in the rehearsal studio they rented. The owner, Jeremy Mercer, spent so much time listening to them that he became intimate with their music, and eventually picked up his guitar and began to play shows with them. After about a year of playing shows and developing their sound, Nociceptor dove back into recording. In 2008, The Sum of All Scars was finished, an intense amalgamation of material both old and new.
Following this release, Robert Edmondson decided to pursue another career opportunity in another state and at the same time Jeremy Mercer decided to step down in order to focus more on his family as well. Michael Eskandari practiced at the same rehearsal studio and heard of the band's need for a drummer. After playing a few shows with guest drummers, Michael hung his hat, bringing a new perspective to their sound. Back to being a four-piece, Nociceptor steamed forward and continued to play shows while trying out guitarists at the same time. A mutual friend hooked them up with Travis Montgomery, who fit in very naturally, and they began work on what would come to be known as "Among Insects." Due to creative differences, Scott Freeman parted ways with the band in 2009.
However, Among Insects went ahead as scheduled and was released on January 1st, 2011. Since then the U.S. foursome have steadily been carving a place for themselves in the progressive metal scene. Now in the midst of writing their fourth release, Nociceptor promises to surpass themselves yet again while staying true to what has developed into a signature style all their own.

Past vocalist of TesseracT, and current vocalist of Voices From The Fuselage.
He's a great singer, and a great, promising artist and songwriter.
A good example would be his newest project:
O'Hara wrote on his official facebook page the following: "O'Hara is setting up his debut solo LP 'Broken Home' for release in September 2014, alongside Voices From The Fuselage's LP 'Odyssey'.", which means this project of his will be a full-assembled band.
