It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

If Journey and Rush are on this site, so should Triumph. Rik Emmett is a guitar god!

this band definitely deserves place on this site!

I agree that this band deserves place on this site. It's one of the finest hard rock/progressive rock bands of Canada.

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Alexey Arzamazov is the mastermind and only remaining original member of Shadow Host. He formed the band in Moscow, 1993.
Andrey Smirnov was forced to leave in 2007 due to the time he needed to spend with his main band Everlost.
After Victor Anger's departure in 2009, original vocalist Sergey Kayumov returned. According to Shadow Host's official site, bassist Vasiliy Rumyantsev is no longer in the band, and Sergey Kayumov is again playing the bass.

Adrián Barilari with the keyboardist Hugo Bistolfi, who also left Rata Blanca in 1994, form Alianza, with many musicians sessions, which were the only members permanently was Barilari and Bistolfi. The duo explore ballads sound with more keyboard presence than Rata Blanca. Alianza did not have much impact in Argentina, but in other Latin American countries. They edited three albums Sueños del Mundo (1994), Alianza (1997), and Huellas (1999).

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

AraPacis is more Classic/Prog Metal than Metalcore, AraPacis has shared the stage with The Agonist, Raven and Anvil, amongst other bands.

Not metalcore... somethin' else. Appeared with the closing track on this femme-metal (voices) compilation http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=32808 Third album 'Netherworld' released end of 2011 on Ravenheart Music, and 'Déjà-Vu' EP self-released at end of March, this year (now available for free DL from the band's site, along with about six other older songs) (it appears DV EP is 4 re-recordings of older songs - so you can hear So Many Leapers' title-track twice, and find the advances they've made over 7 years)

Kettlespider, from Melbourne, Australia - flying the flag for Progressive metal down under!
Their debut album, 'Avadante', will be released in April 2012 - and is highly anticipated in the Melbourne Metal scene.
With a sound not far removed from Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Opeth and Scale the Summit - 'Kettlespider' offer an energetic and youthful edge not often seen in the progressive metal genre..

Qwertzuiop is a one man project that deserves a lot more attention. He controls everything that is dark and atmospheric in a unique way. The Unending is his second full lenght and it easijy draw you in world grey and depressing.

Emerging from the pits of Holy Hell, Atomic Fate climbed to the top of the metal scene in 2009 with their debut album, Welcome To Holy Hell. The band's latest album, This Is Only The Beginning, welds earth-shattering vocals, gnashing guitar, pummeling bass, and maniacal drums to fabricate a record brimming with pulse-pounding scorchers. With standout tracks like "Step Into The Ring," look for Atomic Fate to be a major part in the metal landscape for years to come. Keep it Metal... Very Metal ! ! !

They were a great crossover-thrash metal band influencing many bands of the style. Many of their members have been in Suicidal Tendencies and the bass player has played as well in Bob Rock and legendary US heavy metalllers Warrior. They realise a full length under the monicker "The Brood" and then 3 full lenghts as Uncle Slam, so their career range from 1984 up to 1995. Just listen and decide.

This band is another interesting addition to the recent wave of occult drenched old school death metal.
Oath of The Abyss, their debut album, was released in 2011 on Dark Descent Records.

Currently Atra Hora are the leading Atmospheric Death Metal band in the Northern Caucasus. The first full-length album titled 'Lost in the Depths' was released in March 2010 on Darknagar Records, a label ruled by the one of band members. The album received a lot of positive feedbacks among critics and listeners. In 2011 the band presented a 'Neo Aeon' single which is available for free download from the official Atra Hora bandcamp profile: atrahora.bandcamp.com. The single is prior to the second full-length album 'Via Combusta' which is planned to be released om March 2012. It contains more atmospheric and ethno-oriented stuff: the band uses some Greek and Middle-Eastern insturments and melodies, three songs presented on the album are performed in Greek language.

Quite mysterious band with no myspace and no official page, so I posted their bandcamp and facebook page... Very good post rock or metal duo with a lot of ambiance and some almost black/death outbursts. Download their album Myopia "name your price" from their bandcamp page!

A great doom metal band from spain. They have just released their new album "Elephant" please add this band to the metalstorm family!

They used to play Doom few years ago. Now with death metal elements more visible it sounds more like Melodic Death/Doom Metal to me.

Well established Canadian Black Metal band. Successor to the throne that Dimmu Borgir and Emperor vacated. Truly different in sound than their predecessors. Main Reason listen to them and find out. Metal Archive: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Eclipse_Eternal/6976

I just saw these guys live on Thursday the 24th of May in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA and They are amazing! The Keys add an atmosphere to the band that is unlike a lot of bands! They are heavy but can calm it down when needed! They would be a great addition to Metalstorm!

For some reason I couldnt find these guys anywhere on here. They recently released a fantastic album called Children of Fire which prompted me to write a review. Upon searching for them and finding nothing I decided I should send in a suggestion to get them added. This band/album has seen little recognition here and I though maybe I could promote some of it...they really are good.

Why couldn't u find them? I added them a while ago... like a year ago... there's already 6 votes on mine, imagine if ur 9 was added to them, they would be in the top candidates... :(
