It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Needs at least one full length.

Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.

Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1

Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

very good...I also listened to a preview of their third album, really nice ...

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

These guys are quite talented, they have such an amazing Progressive Style, and the way they structure their songs is phenomenal. GREAT GUITAR, VOX, DRUMS, BASS.... Just trully great musicians, if your reading this you gotta check them out. From The Mile High City of Denver Colorado, its about time metal make a name for its self. Stonehenge has its own style in this genre and amazing unique female vocalist - Natalya Romashina!
Together we're the POWER!!!

Don't you have any release yet? I've read in the uperside of this page "Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release", so maybe the staff members won't accept your suggestion... But you sound great, I hope you'll have the chance to release a CD soon ;)
17.05.2010 - pdepmcp
This is a grindcore band. They are surely a worthy band with some great releases.
Even if their grindcore is a bit on the edge between the metal and the hardcore side of it, I think they deserve a page here due to the extreme brutality of their sound .
2 album, a compilation, some split/EPs/7''...
06.09.2010 - Meller
Still evolving band, in my opinion, but definitely woth a mention and wider audience. Like pdepmcd said, it's a very even mix with Hardcore and Grind, but what wouldn't be when you do your stuff in the vein of old stuff? I'v seen them live once, by the time of their first album, and that won me over. Check out at least their debut album and decide for yourself - they have my vote.
20.05.2010 - Spenku
Henry Rollins was the singer for Black Flag, and is a spoken word artist (a la Jello Biafra). The Rollins Band has put out 7 studio albums and 7 live albums.
Their songs "Liar" and "Low Self Opinion" were on Kerrang's "666 Songs You Must Own" list.
"Liar" was named the 64th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.
21.05.2010 - Ph0eNiX
As much as I like and respect Henry Rollins I really put what he did as HArdcore (Music structure) he was just avante-garde about it. Although I have the studio albums, and like them I would say if we let Rollins on we should get Black Flag on here too.
Reluctantly I would say no but I respect you submission.
03.10.2011 - metalheadpunk
Rollins Band as well as Black Flag are two of my favorite bands of all time. Henry Rollins is one of the best singers and pretty much defines hardcore and heavy. I think Rollins Band and Black Flag should both be on here. Black Flag may have not been labled as heavy metal but they sure as hell had crossover between metal and punk, especially with as many guitar solos Gerg Ginn did, and Rollins Band is definatly a metal band no doubt.
19.11.2012 - burnt-bridge
Rollins Band are pretty hard to categorize, however there is a strong Black Sabbath influence on all their major studio albums, so i feel they should be included here.
14.05.2010 - Metal Maiden
The Revenge Project, hailing from my hometown in Bulgaria, is a really well-know underground act here, and this is not without a reason - they play solid Melodeath/Gothenburg metal in the vein of the great swedish masters of the scene, and I am pleased to say that the direction they have taken is not that of the modern day sound of In Flames, Soilwork and likes...Unfortunately, their vocalist left the band not long ago and what the future has in store for them is not clear at this very moment, but the two full-lenghts they have left us so far are more than proof they belong here, in MS :)) They are extremely talented musicians, and while not exactly original, their music it is not boring by any standards, on the contrary - it has raw energy and great potential, which is a sign of great thing to come for the guys...Just check their MySpace profile and see for yourselves ;)
12.05.2010 - ThePriest
The band plays heavy/power/prog metal with astonishing and emotional vocals. Combines styles from Heir Apparent/Dio/Queensryche to Evergrey/Conception and also has a full-length cd released in April/May 2010 by Metal On Metal records label (Italy)
12.05.2010 - pdepmcp
A good instrumental sludge band, with some post-metal elements.
They sound like a mix of Ufomammut and Omega Massif, and they surely deserve a listen for the great impact of their music.
1 Album released, recording the follow up.
16.01.2011 - Meller
Well worth noting. For proof, check Supernaturals Recording One, which is a collaboration album between these guys and Ufomammut.

3 fois .

Shocked not find this band on MS. They been around since 1986. They also released 5 full releases up to date. Marva is the solo project of the former drummer Senad Marava.
