08:34 - ScreamingSteelUS I've returned from tonight's show with a setlist from Mayhem, a pick from Watain's bassist, the new Mayhem and Rotting Christ, a Mayhem shirt, and vomit on my shoes from the guy next to me. Shook Necrobutcher's hand. Good show.
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

The band combines Oud influenced oriental style, with many other symphonic elements and lyrics reflecting people's suffering in war zones and in exile. The Band's first album " The ghost of Zanoubia" was released in October 2015, and it brings together elements that are not very often used in Metal

Corvus is a Melodic Metal band from Ukraine. They released their debut album "Raven Rising" in 2012.

Royal Corvus band was formed in September 2005 and the first band name was Corvus. The name was borrowed from Latin, it translates - the Raven. It is a symbol of the wisdom in most ancient religions of the world. Raven is a carrier of souls across the River of Eternity and a binding link between the fragile edge of the World of Shadows and the World of the Living. Initially, the Corvus band was created as a melodic symphonic gothic metal project, but in the process of development and quality growth joins itself the best of the different trends and styles of rock. Now Royal Corvus band has created more than thirty Russian and English-language songs. Song's sound is very different: from romantic ballads to hard and progressive rock. And nobody of the listeners will not remain indifferent, because everyone will find something in this music for themselves. All this different musical styles are merged in one unique style - Corvus style. Besides his own works band plays covers of classic rock and pop songs. During its long history Royal Corvus band many times was engaged in various kinds of rock and bike festivals in Kharkov, and outside it. The Royal Corvus band received invitations and performed in support to rock stars as: Master, Sergey Mavrin, Epidemia, Catharsis, and vocalist of the legendary bands Rainbow and Deep Purple - Joe Lynn Turner. April 28, 2012 the Corvus band has presented their debut album - Raven Rising. October 24, 2012 Royal Corvus was official support group of SCORPIONS in Kharkov as part of the farewell tour "FINAL STING TOUR" .

Not quite a metal band, but seeing that other hard rock or glam bands are featured, I do not see why these guys shouldn't be here. Great White is one of the better bands from that thoroughly commercial movement of the 80s.

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Adrián Barilari with the keyboardist Hugo Bistolfi, who also left Rata Blanca in 1994, form Alianza, with many musicians sessions, which were the only members permanently was Barilari and Bistolfi. The duo explore ballads sound with more keyboard presence than Rata Blanca. Alianza did not have much impact in Argentina, but in other Latin American countries. They edited three albums Sueños del Mundo (1994), Alianza (1997), and Huellas (1999).

HEONIA is a Melodic Metal band from the North of France. The band is started in January 2006 by Thomas and Marieke.
They create HEONIA's first two compositions while they actively search for musicians to complete the band. These first pieces define HEONIA's style of music: a powerful Melodic Metal with touches of Prog and Death; female vocals which can be soft or stronger with, in addition, aggressive death metal voices…
Once the line-up is complete, HEONIA presents its music to people at a lot of gigs (opening for Kells (Fr), Misanthrope (Fr) or To-Mera (UK) in particular) in order to refine its music style and have the first impressions of the audience.
In November 2008, HEONIA releases its first EP self-produced in its entirety and named Simulacra. This one receives quite good reviews although a "home-made" production and is well received by the audience when the band presents it.
HEONIA continues logically on its way and records his debut album in 2009. The band wants, by this mean, to make people discover more in depth his musical universe with a professional sound. Winsome Scar is released in September 2010; its sound is rather dark, melodic and progressive.
Since June 2011, Rudy i not anymore Heonia's drummer. We are currently searching for a new drummer.

Beethoven R. is born of the second dissolution of the glamurosos Bella Bestia, band of Madrid that in the 80 edited three discs of study. After a short meeting of the band in the middle of the nineties, which it was including to (low) Pepe Mari San the second and Jose Luis Saiz (guitar), there comes a new separation of the rest of members that gives place to a new band, which at first will continue working as Bella Bestia.

Necrofrost fully embodies the European black metal sound of the 90s and early 00s. They are raw, brutal and dark yet remain virtually unknown. This band needs some recognition. Although they weren't necessarily an "important" band in the evolution of black metal in Europe, they were able to create the sound and attitude that we have come to know and love...and hate.

Wedingoth is a marriage, a mixture between two lovers in life, joining their influences. Steven, guitarist, is a student in musicology and Laure, vocals, is a student of history and art history. They are passionate about music since their childhood when they were rocked through the wealth of sounds progressive rock, jazz, classical, world music and more recently metal.
Wedingoth is a musical project based on openness, the mixture of styles, whose credo is claimed eclecticism. It combines the power of rock served by a female voice charged with emotion, and atmospheric nuances giving wanderlust supported by orchestral technic.
Summer 2009, the group entered the studio to record its first album of 13 tracks: Candlelight. Is it a concept album based on a reflection about the future of humanity in the disturbing context of Earth degradation.
The training was surrounded by musicians : a second guitarist, Julien Lamarre, a drummer, Adrien Lopez and bassist, Robin Mariat.
It is now ready to venture into the show.

It is a very talented band made up of just a guitarist and a guy who does the effects and drum loops. They're also both extremely talented composers in their own respective bands being Sleep Terror and Amogh Symphony. This is a band that i believe every metalhead should be able to at least check out once.

Great band comprising of Luke Jaeger of Sleep Terror and Vishal J.Singh of Amogh Symphony. Just check out their EP 'Microsleep in 3D' here-
This band deserves to be here. If Amogh Symphony and Sleep Terror both are here, why not this band?

Need to have at least one LP before can get added to MS. This is definitely some kool stuff. Although I would not call it Electronic Death Metal, more like techno djent or djenty techno. Think if Crystal Method were to hire Luke Jaeger to lay down some phat 8-string djenty start-stop riffs and include some occasional neo-classical noodlage...

They're an impressive, recently formed band under management of Intrometal (Also manages Seven Kingdoms). Influenced by bands like dream theater and Iron Maiden. They are also quickly gaining publicity worldwide over facebook and with the recent release of their first album " Curse of the artizan (April 29)"
Take a look for yourself, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouj08Pf0vEo or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC_tkxz9KqM. They're quite talented, and, i'd think they have a great future ahead of them.
Any of you who like power metal, heavy metal, etc will love this band! Don't be a pussy or hate them because they're american, take a look!

Changed from an incorrect Downset, to Philosopher [HUN]. Apparently with one album under their belts, self-released last year, after playing without vocals for one or two years. It also seems a German band released stuff under the same name before this one was formed - not sure how well known they were

Heralds of the Sword was created from a life long love of Fantasy based lore, inspirations from extraordinary Power Metal bands such as Rhapsody and ReinXeed, and of course an unending desire to write original and interesting music. Heralds of the Sword is a Fantasy Power Metal band from the United States that brings an original story to life on stage. With a growing and loyal fan base this band is positioned to represent Power Metal in the USA now and in the future.

IMO it's one of the best metal bands from Romania. Their songs are pretty catchy and their music videos are pretty funny (if you understand Romanian).

This is a bullshit band nowadays, used to be one of the best bands in Romania but after the founder of the band decided to sing for money everything fucked up! Also their songs are mostly copied.

One of the most impressive gothic metal bands I came around in last years. Too sad that they disbanded in 2010, althought their singer Tommy has a new band called Godex which is also worth checking out. Thora plays very catchy kind of gothic metal in a vein of Dreadful Shadows, Scream Silence, Him and some Paradise Lost influences are also present. You can download their album "Baby no.666" from their labels page for free! Here it's the link: http://www.af-music.de/releases/veroffentlichungen-2006-2008/thora-babyno666/

Under the Heavy Metal influence, the rock band known as LANDSEMK was born in the middle of 2004. Recognized in their country together with the new talents, this group of boys obtained respect from the veterans, bringing with them an innovating and refreshing sound, which when fusioned with the experience of Eduardo Cárdenas and Ignacio Rondon, reached a professional level worthly of national bands like; Gillman, Resistencia, Arkangel, among others...
One year later, consolidated the group, thanks to the extraordinary control of LANDSEMK on the taste of the audience, they tried with international Heavy Metal sharing stage with bands like, Dios Salve la Reina (official QUEEN tribute), The Cash and Social Shit (Argentina), Paul Di'Anno (ex-singer of Iron Maiden), Letz Zep (English band tribute to the pioneers of world-wide hardrock Led Zeppelin), Live Wire (tribute band to AC/DC from USA), Vital Remains (usa), Krisiun (Brasil), Masacre (Colombia) and representing Venezuela next to HELLOWEEN (Germany) at the Poliedro de Caracas. Along its career LANDSEMK also has offered tribute to the legendary bands Iron Maiden and Manowar.
Actually LANDSEMK is one of the most important bands in the venezuelan Metal scene and it's growing up internationally.

Because they are sickest fucking band I have ever heard. If anyone of the pussy cut myself emo metal bands that I see plastered as "the next Iron Maiden" had one ounce of the pure metal power that this band exhibits I would be an avid listener. Furthermore anyone that doesn't fucking love this band doesn't love the genre they say they have dedicated their life. Said fuck faced puss brain should be lynched resurrected have their face smashed in and be given a bacterial disease that slowly and painfully eats your flesh away at the same rate that it grows back. The sheer power that the guitars and drums force through your ears and beating your brain should be enough to make death metal fans be a little impressed. The vocals leave nothing to be desired except for a quick replay of the song.

This Indian band brings about a fresh approach to black metal. They don't have 'the raw black metal' sound, as their guitars are not as distorted. They concentrate on melodies and progressive rhythmic patterns. The technical proficiency is really top notch, which makes their sound more polished (again, against the norms of traditional black metal). Lyrical themes are mostly based on fiction, hatred, destruction and exploitation of the human race.
