It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

If Journey and Rush are on this site, so should Triumph. Rik Emmett is a guitar god!
22.01.2012 - malymich
this band definitely deserves place on this site!
15.09.2014 - Kitharistas87
I agree that this band deserves place on this site. It's one of the finest hard rock/progressive rock bands of Canada.
08.09.2015 - Guib
Totally agree Triumph's got to be added.
15.06.2014 - God Alone
Okay, they're not metal; but they surely were/are a huge influence for some industrial/post-metal bands like Godflesh or Neurosis.
I've seen a lot of (great) bands here that have nothing to do with metal at all (Current 93 for example), so... I thought that the almighty Swans could have a chance to be featured on MS. :)
19.06.2014 - Syk
C93 were reviewed by a staffer a long, long time ago. I'm quite confident they'd never be seen here but for that fact. Don't get swanhopes up ;)
22.06.2014 - Ilham
They really have nothing to do here despite being a great band that still produces great records.
19.02.2015 - Hank80AF
They have a very unique style in his music, very personal and quite complex.
17.06.2015 - Bardusk
Swans is a must here. And yes, they are more metal than most of metal bands.
12.08.2015 - AlbusNox
They are not metal at all!!! Are u serious people?! Let's bring The Beatles on MS... Because they were a huge influence for some heavy metal bands... C'mon it's METAL STORM not MUSIC STORM!!!!

Corvus is a Melodic Metal band from Ukraine. They released their debut album "Raven Rising" in 2012.
28.09.2015 - diamondblack
Royal Corvus band was formed in September 2005 and the first band name was Corvus. The name was borrowed from Latin, it translates - the Raven. It is a symbol of the wisdom in most ancient religions of the world. Raven is a carrier of souls across the River of Eternity and a binding link between the fragile edge of the World of Shadows and the World of the Living. Initially, the Corvus band was created as a melodic symphonic gothic metal project, but in the process of development and quality growth joins itself the best of the different trends and styles of rock. Now Royal Corvus band has created more than thirty Russian and English-language songs. Song's sound is very different: from romantic ballads to hard and progressive rock. And nobody of the listeners will not remain indifferent, because everyone will find something in this music for themselves. All this different musical styles are merged in one unique style - Corvus style. Besides his own works band plays covers of classic rock and pop songs. During its long history Royal Corvus band many times was engaged in various kinds of rock and bike festivals in Kharkov, and outside it. The Royal Corvus band received invitations and performed in support to rock stars as: Master, Sergey Mavrin, Epidemia, Catharsis, and vocalist of the legendary bands Rainbow and Deep Purple - Joe Lynn Turner. April 28, 2012 the Corvus band has presented their debut album - Raven Rising. October 24, 2012 Royal Corvus was official support group of SCORPIONS in Kharkov as part of the farewell tour "FINAL STING TOUR" .

Not quite a metal band, but seeing that other hard rock or glam bands are featured, I do not see why these guys shouldn't be here. Great White is one of the better bands from that thoroughly commercial movement of the 80s.

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Adrián Barilari with the keyboardist Hugo Bistolfi, who also left Rata Blanca in 1994, form Alianza, with many musicians sessions, which were the only members permanently was Barilari and Bistolfi. The duo explore ballads sound with more keyboard presence than Rata Blanca. Alianza did not have much impact in Argentina, but in other Latin American countries. They edited three albums Sueños del Mundo (1994), Alianza (1997), and Huellas (1999).

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.
22.04.2011 - Jerryfie
AraPacis is more Classic/Prog Metal than Metalcore, AraPacis has shared the stage with The Agonist, Raven and Anvil, amongst other bands.

Not metalcore... somethin' else. Appeared with the closing track on this femme-metal (voices) compilation http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=32808 Third album 'Netherworld' released end of 2011 on Ravenheart Music, and 'Déjà-Vu' EP self-released at end of March, this year (now available for free DL from the band's site, along with about six other older songs) (it appears DV EP is 4 re-recordings of older songs - so you can hear So Many Leapers' title-track twice, and find the advances they've made over 7 years)

One of the most promising bands in the early 90's, unfortunately later they changed drasticaly their style. they deserve to be in MS, because their first two studio albums "Sweet X-Rated Nothings" and "Twinaleblood" are real masterpieces in doom death gothic metal.
06.02.2014 - Baribal
"Ignis Creatio" and "Waves Of Erotasia" were so good EPs, the debut album "Sweet X-Rated Nothings" was good too. "Twinaleblood" was okay, everything after was crap (Alternative Rock).

This band should most definitely be featured on MS at least by reason of the first two LPs they released.

It's a band that have more than 5 years playing and recording metal, also they have 3 Full-length albums...even their facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/empiresofeden) has more than 1000 followers...I think would be pretty fair added them to the page! :D

FS PROJEKT is a joint effort by the mastermind of the whole endeavour, i.e. Efes (music, arrangements, lyrics, guitars, bass) and his brothers-in-arms - the outstanding Russian musician and producer Oleg Mishin (vocals, flute, production) and one of the best drummers ever to rock the Russian metal scene Andrei Itschenko. It was in December 2011 when these brave adventurers set out on an ultimate quest in search for new worlds hidden behind the veil of reality to find and bring forth the greatest treasure that seemed to have been lost for many centuries - the dignity of human spirit in all its grace, splendour and glory!
04.09.2015 - VanjaJovanevi
These guys came from a small city Bjelovar, Croatia where music like this isn't respected as it should be. They have unique sound and unique style. Even though they play instrumental they are very aggressive on stage and have a lot of charisma. I whish them to promote more and play more so everyone can see their energy and hear their story.

Bringing St. Paul the finest in regressive metal since 2010. Released second album on the 4th of September 2015
Chaos Frame will never: feature lengthy wank solos, rhyme 'fire' with 'desire,' BREAK IT DOWN BRO, give you up, let you down, run around and hurt you
Chaos Frame WILL: bring the riffs, change keys a lot, change time signatures a lot, add blastbeats to things, have epic parts, experiment a bit, release material when it's good and ready

The band combines cyber/futuristic themes, with technical/melodic death metal, electronic sounds and harsh female-fronted vocals. They have released 2 albums 'Solarstorm' in 2015 and an all Russian album 'Разрушая преграды' in 2012. Highly recommended for fans of Scar Symmetry and Sybreed.

Eleven Strings is a Progressive Metal band from San Paulo, Brazil. Formed in 2012.
The band's name refers to a theory of quantum physics about the various dimensions of the universe, as if they were all strings, each one vibrating at a different tone, composing a symphony of chaos and creation.

We should be on Metal Storm because we not on Metal Storm yet and why not? We are an active band, looking to tour, we are getting ready to record our new album, and we want to contribute to the metal community by showing everyone that metal isn't dead.

I have read all review of their album and have a great rating. This is the best Traditional Heavy Metal band I've ever heard after Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden.
They didn't follow any trend shit. Pure fuckin' Heavy Metal. Metal Storm please add this band.
03.09.2015 - Bad English
its heavy metal, we don't have such prefix
30.08.2015 - Andrew_Deer
The band itself say they play crossover, because their approach to styles is quite undefined, but I would put it under progressive metal. Their approach to the music is one of the reasons I like them a think they should be here. Also I would say, if progressive metal scene in Czech Republic was somewhat bigger, they would be probably more known than they are now.

The Longing is an LA-based group whose upcoming album, "Bleed" transcends over-simplistic genre categorization. Founding member and singer, Laura Bradley, harnesses the power of her trademark angelic sound and unleashes her voice with the spectral force of an emotional whiplash as this powerful 13 track rock album spins out into groove-heavy pockets of distortion, atonal dissonance, high-octane hooks and the haunting piano melodies that are the signature of Bradley's compositional style.
In addition to Laura, The Longing consists of guitarists Yuri Anisonyan and James Kloeppel, bassist Michael Wallace and drummer, Tom Plumb - all formally trained, seasoned session and touring musicians with numerous high-profile production and engineering credits. When asked about the title track, "Bleed" James replied, "I love the harmony, it's really catchy and it's got this weird overshadowing overtones/undertones - it is so NOT standard pop!" While the album is emotionally revealing, cohesion is heard in every note. "I think we've worked our way towards creating a dynamic that is perfect," adds Yuri. "This band has a sound, and everyone just gets better. We've really started to trust each other."
The stunning video for the single, "Bleed" was directed by Carmella Cardina, supervising producer of "The Green Room with Paul Provenza" on Showtime along with Bradley's sister, Flint. Set in a neglected yet beautiful mansion, it traces the story of a woman lost in the history of the old house and its secrets. The imagery of the past and present collide within the memories of romance, intrigue and blood. Tom adds, "It was a great experience. The location was incredible, the whole process was really fun, creatively, and working it out together was amazing."
The soul wrenching "Cool Dark Slip" opens with Bradley's haunting solo piano before exploding into an urgency of hard-driven guitars. "All the songs are personal. It's the only way I know how to write, but this is one the most achingly intimate songs on the album," Bradley says. "This song simply penned itself. I had recently lost someone I loved to suicide and I was drowning in loss and anger. In order to find forgiveness, I took on the persona, the story of why, and faced the pain, her pain and what it was like to take her own life."
The melodic and atmospheric, "This Flame" exposes Bradley's experience with the Angeles National Forest Station fire that burned Bassist/Producer Michael Wallace's Stonyville Cabin & Studios to the ground in 2010. "The fire took on a feminine identity and I hated her with all my heart. I speak directly to her in the song, telling her how she took from me a sense of safety and security. I had no power against her, and the change she was forcing upon me with her raging inferno. People like to think that the songs are always autobiographical when actually they are not. " In the end, they are all very personal and meaningful to me, but I'm stepping into a persona as I am affected by a story, a confession, an event or the imagery of a situation.
Rounding out the release is the dramatic and expressive, "Sword & Stone". "I loved writing Sword & Stone - it was originally commissioned by director Carmella Cardina for her film adaptation of Shakespeare's play, The Tempest, and it became so much more than a movie theme for me. While I was writing about the dramatic journey of Prospero, the main character, and his transformation from rage and conviction into forgiveness, it broke open a place in me that had no concept of how to truly forgive and what forgiveness ultimately means. I don't want to forgive you, is our nature. Do it anyway, is our higher calling. "
Bradley has toured nationally as a solo artist in support of her first two album projects, Rain and Storm (distributed by eOne), and became the opening act for both Colin Hay and Dionne Warwick & Friends at Miami's Bank United Center. With the formation of The Longing, the group has performed at numerous rock venues with a unified vision and sound that electrifies an audience. Impressed by her playful theatrics and easy rapport with an enthusiastic crowd at The Viper Room, Music Connection Magazine reviewer, Lisa Elaine Scott writes, "Laura is an accomplished composer and a sophisticated performer. Her risk-taking lyrical story lines, combined with stellar musicianship and a spellbinding stage presence, make for an outstanding live show. Unafraid to stray from the familiar formula, Laura Bradley and The Longing are creating aural art at its best."
With "Bleed" about to be released, The Longing's thoughts have focused to returning to the road. Laura reveals, "I never meant for this to be a project four years in the making, but you have to be able to step away and give something space to grow. The end result is exactly what I've always wanted: A fourteen song epic release of dramatic and difficult subjects, propelled by the rich and heavyweight sound of The Longing. I think we were all focused on playing this music live the entire time we were recording. It's really a concept CD meant to be played live." Tom says, "Playing live is my favorite part of the whole band! Making the record is fantastic, but playing live is what I enjoy most about music. The fact that the band is so good and so together, to get the right pieces in terms of members and really working hard at arranging the songs "for" the band and all of those things make it such an awesome experience to play live."
