It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

If Journey and Rush are on this site, so should Triumph. Rik Emmett is a guitar god!

this band definitely deserves place on this site!

I agree that this band deserves place on this site. It's one of the finest hard rock/progressive rock bands of Canada.

Not quite a metal band, but seeing that other hard rock or glam bands are featured, I do not see why these guys shouldn't be here. Great White is one of the better bands from that thoroughly commercial movement of the 80s.

Alexey Arzamazov is the mastermind and only remaining original member of Shadow Host. He formed the band in Moscow, 1993.
Andrey Smirnov was forced to leave in 2007 due to the time he needed to spend with his main band Everlost.
After Victor Anger's departure in 2009, original vocalist Sergey Kayumov returned. According to Shadow Host's official site, bassist Vasiliy Rumyantsev is no longer in the band, and Sergey Kayumov is again playing the bass.

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Okay, they're not metal; but they surely were/are a huge influence for some industrial/post-metal bands like Godflesh or Neurosis.
I've seen a lot of (great) bands here that have nothing to do with metal at all (Current 93 for example), so... I thought that the almighty Swans could have a chance to be featured on MS. :)
19.06.2014 - Syk
C93 were reviewed by a staffer a long, long time ago. I'm quite confident they'd never be seen here but for that fact. Don't get swanhopes up ;)
22.06.2014 - Ilham
They really have nothing to do here despite being a great band that still produces great records.
19.02.2015 - Hank80AF
They have a very unique style in his music, very personal and quite complex.
17.06.2015 - Bardusk
Swans is a must here. And yes, they are more metal than most of metal bands.

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

Terminus were formed in early 2012 to revel in a style of Heavy Metal rarely glimpsed in the Irish underground. Taking their lead from Iron Maiden, King Diamond, Savage Grace, Slough Feg and Exciter they exist solely to play real Heavy Metal without pose or fuss in a scene where its presence has been sorely missed.

INNER ODYSSEY is a Canadian, Québec-based, quintet that continues the legacy that was paved by progressive metal bands like DREAM THEATER and FATES WARNING.
The band had its humble beginnings with Vincent Leboeuf GADREAU, in 2007, while he was still college. After just leaving a hardcore band, the guitarist desided to put his creative talent into the progressive genre due to his love for bands like RIVERSIDE, DREAM THEATER, PORCUPINE TREE, SYMPHONY X and many others.
The result of this new project was the band INNER ODYSSEY which mixes the hard lines of modern metal music with the strong emotional feeling tones of old fashioned and modern progressive rock. The band is currently comprised of Vincent Leboeuf GADREAU on guitars and vocals, Simon GOURDEAU on bass, Pier-Luc Garand DION on vocals, Mathieu CHAMBERLAND on piano and keyboards and Étienne DOYON on drums and vocals.

A great band in which I might take the vocal part in.
Already having an album under their belt, this band will surely twist some headbangers' heads!
"AMRINAN is a metal band from Israel, comprised of internationally experienced musicians.

The idea for this band started a few months after I bought my first guitar at age 16 and wrote a song for my departed brother. I wasn't sure at first what genre I wanted my music to be, but it forged and developed itself over the years to become Progressive rock and metal. I started the serious recording for My debut album "The Revelations" a year ago and had been slowly composing it for the past two years.

In 2006 Sebastian Fiore (guitar - vocals) decided to form a cover band of Led Zeppelin, Queen, Guns n 'Roses and The Police songs. He had left a previous project called Mindslave, which he owned the rights. He, along with other musicians, rehearsed for two years while were searching for a female vocalist that never appeared. What it really came up were original own compositions. 2008 is a key year in the life of Mindslave as having claimed a repertoire of songs themselves, decide to dust off the name, property of Fiore and perform live tool. After some shows, it was decided not to continue with the drummer and to record a couple of compositions in the PGM studios with engineer Nicolas Ghiglione. For this occasion, with the collaboration of Frater's drummer, Federico Mele. Over the next two years, several people tried to fill the position behind the sticks and could only occur in a small number of live performances. In 2010 they managed to affirm the group's lineup with the addition of Emanuel Castiñeira on drums. Thus line up achieved a more intense live activity within the circuit of Buenos Aires and arrived at 2012 with a list of songs ready to go to record the first LP in Panda studios. Finally, the record alluded also materialized in Calle 24 studios. Mixing and mastering were made in PGM studios by the group well known Nicolas Ghiglione. The result of this process was "Secular Indulgence", the Mindslave's debut album consisted of 7 original compositions. In 2013, the were able to get a deal with Pulmonar Recordables, with whom they had previously worked in the framework of classic shows called "Apoyá el Under" . Currently the band is searching of a new keyboardist that allows them to continue the presentation of "Secular Indulgence " alive , given the departure of Rodrigo Tavera for his activity as professional concert pianist.
