12:31 - Lokaeda :p I like the sound of that instrument a lot. Make sure to check bands like Huun-Huur-Tu, Chirgilchin, Ensemble Khna Bogd to get a glimpse at it (as well as to Mongol/Tuvan folk music in general). Well worth it in my opinion :)
12:29 - Redn1ght Again with F? Meant lute. screw typos. :(
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Visideon is an independent Heavy Metal band hailing from the United States, which formed when Hardcore band ArcAnA was looking for a new vocalist, and Katrina auditioned. The band members where impressed by her capabilities and decided to form a new project, basically consisting of ArcAnA, but with Katrina on vocals and playing another style of music. The band managed to make a great blend of the riffs and the piano sounds. I would even go as far as saying it is one of the most effective hybrids of this kind I have ever heard. The lead vocals are handled by Katrina. And after only a few notes one can understand why the band members where so impressed with her qualities. She has quite a deep voice, but has no problems hitting higher notes as well. There is occasional male backup consisting of rough singing or growling. The musicianship is great and the band managed to ensure a professional sounding production quality. I only think the band should consider hiring a professional to do their artwork, because it is a charming cover, it is not up to par with the quality of their music.

Some people might write Masters of Disguise off as an unremarkable Savage Grace clone, but they would be making a terrible mistake. Yes, the band name, logo and imagery are all in tribute to Savage Grace, but musically they fill the musical gap which Savage Grace left behind them. Like both Savage Grace albums before it, first Master Of Disguise album Back With A Vengeance is a blazing heavy/speed metal album filled with genuinely original material. So basically, if you liked Savage Grace, there's no reason you wouldn't dig the hell out of this. And even if you've heard either, any fan of Iron Maiden and bands like Omen and Liege Lord will find something to like here.

An amazing German Power Prog Metal band, similar to early Queensryche and Fates Warning. A must in every prog collection. Check them out:

We're barely into 2014 and Toronto's traditional heavy metal scene is already raging. After a great album from Skull Fist, the next band to put out a record this year was Midnight Malice. "Proving Grounds" is their debut release. It's not a particularly long or inventive album, but "Proving Grounds" is exactly what fans of the other locals will be seeking. Some of the riffs will especially appeal to fans of some more energetic NWOBHM and speed metal bands such as Raven, Saxon, Anvil, Maiden and Priest. Ultimately, it's hard to see anyone being dissatisfied with this album. While there are a ton of bands playing this style of metal these days, Midnight Malice is one that is well worth hearing. "Proving Grounds" sets out to be a fun collection of songs, and that's exactly what it accomplishes. Buy this record and take a trip back to beginning of 80's.
04.03.2014 - altalena
Altalena is formed by ex-members of Rabies Caste (Earache) and Ausweis (Third Ear).
The music features a technical kink - the main instrument is an experimental guitar/bass six-string, which plays guitar and bass parts simultaneously.
The band is still at the beginning of the road, preparing to record its first release.

Their sound has an identity of their own. This does not sound like the average re-hashed death metal, they try new things. Last week they released their second full length- Dødsverk.
03.03.2014 - schlakt
They are about to release their second studio album, and have streamed two songs from it already on youtube, which both of them have a very interesting blend between black metal and hardcore. Their first release has a more chaotic and math influence in it. Would be really cool for them to get some recognition because i believe they can become big!

A great and heavy band that already has released an ep(both digitally and physically) at bandcamp: http://xenobiotic.bandcamp.com/album/wraith
And they are also going to release "Ares" both in limited edition vinyl and cd very soon.
A very great but overlooked band which I can recommend to those who enjoy deathcore. If a band had to have a full-length to be added here, then it might take some time before this band could be added.
Nevertheless, I serve you underground deathcore.
