Véhémence - Biography

Biography

Emerging in 2013, little is known about Véhémence's conception. A debut album, Assiégé was self-released digitally in February 2014, before being re-released by Aeternitas Tenebrarum Musicae Fundamentum in 2015. Appearing to be primarily a project helmed by Tulzcha, who is credited with all instruments short of vocals on the debut, the end result resembles the Second Wave of Black Metal with a medieval setting. As far as the first album is concerned, this was limited to the lyrical content.

After a promising debut in 2014, not much, if anything, was heard of Véhémence, until late 2018 when a sophomore record was finally announced, and a practically all-new line-up introduced, now featuring vocalist Hyvermor (Grylle, Hanternoz, Régiment), also the head of Antiq Records, and drummer Thomas Leitner, who performed live with Harakiri For The Sky, alongside band-leader, multi-instrumentalist Tulzcha. Par le Sang Versé was released in February 2019 under Antiq Records and expanded upon the debut effort, with session musicians contributing a variety of stringed and brass instruments to further build a traditional/medieval atmosphere.
